Courting the anti-war constituency, Democratic presidential rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama (news, bio, voting record) both voted against legislation that pays for the Iraq war but lacks a timeline for troop withdrawal.

These should make for good commericals in 2008.
The Dummy Underground people are going berzerk over this. They are accusing Obama and Hillary of voting against the bill ONLY after it had safely received the necessary votes to pass.
Down the road they will have some splaining to do for the American people.
The liberal media will protect them.
unbelievable
ok. Very believable
They may be trying to out-kook each other to win the kooks, but its going to cost them dearly in the generals. I can already see the GOP tv ads...
Soo Kerry like. No shock here folks.
Well, after this vote you won’t have to worry about either of them flying into Baghdad to bother our Troops. They’d probably get spitwads thrown at them. I don’t know how they can even look the Sgt at arms in the Senate in the eye anymore. Traitorous defeatist pole cats.
CNN actually berated Hillary and Obama for waiting until the very last minute to cast their votes. CNN said that is was unpresidential for them to take so long to make a decision, especially when they both had plenty of time to decide on how they would vote.
that’s what I heard....
so far the reports I heard on the radio have been specific that they voted very late in the session after the decision had been determined...
CNN? I’m stunned.
I was shocked too.
Who knows why Herself voted no, but here’s why Osama did:

I wouldn’t want those ugly pigs after me, either!
GOOD, now the clinton/obama campaign is ‘locked in’ for not supporting the troops
Hillary & Obama screwed up big time. Neither one won a single vote and both stood to lose potential supporters. The fringest left at DU is mad because they waited until after the bill had passed to cast their votes, showing that they didn’t have the spine to try to lead the opposition to the bill. And the moderates who might have supported them, may have been against the war but aren’t going to stand for not supporting the troops. just listen to what Roger L. Simon, a previous Hillary supporter writes about her:

The bloggers are ripping Hillary a new a—hole this morning.
