American women, on the whole, are more embarrassing with every passing year.

There is something to what you say. Would American men admit that they really want a kindler, gentler, meeker female than those depicted in the American media?
And if they wouldn't admit it, would that be evidence of lobotomy or castration?

LOL, who cares about kinder/gentler/meeker, I’ll just take a little spot of logic and reason at this point.
To: dighton
If we all stop talking about these morons, will they just go away?

Logical and kind aren’t mutually exclusive in today’s America are they?
Maybe it’s necessary to slap the bejeebers out of someone before they start talking sense...
But...would that be a kindness or an unkindness???

Quite true.
Reminds me of that scene out of “Airplane”, when the passengers were lining up to slap the bejeebers out of a hysterical woman, lol.
Remember that?
I would say it WAS an act of kindness, to the people around her, and herself!

Truly an epic debate, destined to go down in the annals alongside Lincoln/Douglas.
I think we can all agree, however, that rendering down O'Donnell's blubber into a usable fuel source might alleviate some of our dependence on foreign oil, though it's probably not a good idea to think about where your gasoline came from while driving...

And what about the chains? Who will pay for them and the padlocks? Who will be responsible for strapping them on the various panelists and audience members? Me! Me!! Pick me!!!

ROFLWell, c'mon! Heckle & Jeckyl were classic television. I'd pass up one car crash for one cartoon, as long as nothing naked was cut to make room.

‘Hawk, Treacher has the germ of an idea there. One glaring omission, though: What about the home audience?

Oh, I suppose I could get on board with your plan if it included electric eels or a climactic shark release into the submerged studio; few of us can resist a bloody feeding frenzy, plus it would provide a potential promotional tie-in with the Discovery Channel. And after the sharks die from heart attacks after stuffing themselves with all that fat? Where's your Discovery Channel tie-in then, after PETA starts bitching about cruelty to sharks?

American women, on the whole, are more embarrassing with every passing year. No kidding -- the behavior displayed on this program (and this particular incident is not the first or only time, just the latest) is in part why I never enjoyed working in the all-gal departments on the job. About as unprofessional as it could get, though no real surprise, considering the way O'Donnell treated Tom Selleck a few years back when he was a guest on her show.

In case anyone thinks I offer insult, I should probably indicate that I am a woman.
