Skip to comments.McCain: "Obama wouldn't know the difference between an RPG and a bong."

McCain responds to Obama in tough enough, if predictable, language:
"While Senator Obama's two years in the U.S. Senate certainly entitle him to vote against funding our troops, my service and experience combined with conversations with military leaders on the ground in Iraq lead me to believe that we must give this new strategy a chance to succeed because the consequences of failure would be catastrophic to our nation's security."
But, McCain being McCain, he can't help himself and goes the next step in the statement's kicker:
"By the way, Senator Obama, it's a 'flak' jacket, not a 'flack' jacket."
Which is to say, "there is only one of us in this argument who has ever worn the uniform." (my words)
And if you still don't get it, a McCain aide blows away the anthill with, well, a rocket.
"Obama wouldn't know the difference between an RPG and a bong."

Update: Aid meant to say crackpipe...not bong.
It’s hard to believe that the Democrats might actually nominate someone whose background consists of only two years in the Senate.
McCain, working to destroy Obama to help Hillary.
LOL... a great slam by McCain at traitor obama :)
That’s true. I’m not a McCain fan, but he can say some funny stuff once in a while.
But that in no way qualifiies him to become President. We’ve had a left moving Republican for almost 8 years. I sure don’t want another.
It’s things like that which make we want to support the guy.
Problem is...McCain often acts as if he’s just smoked a bong.
Yes, very useful.
“Obama wouldn’t know the difference between an RPG and a bong.”
While this is in fact true, McCain should be careful.
As we all know, his wife knows what bong is, and she knows quite a bit about popping pills.
I’m wagering 4 hours before McCain is called a racist for associating the black guy with pot use.
I wonder what male body part McCain would refer to when saying a similar thing about Hitlery.
I think this was a stupid move on his part. Don't like either McCain or Obama, but this is a childish remark. Makes McLame look even more unstable and unprofessional.
It can be confusing.
LOL way to go McCain!
Probably not at all off target, that remark!
Guy can't be trusted.
Which is really more important to a Lieberal.
