Puffa-luffa-stuff.

Shaw is a busy woman. She is opening a business in Fairfax with the tentative name of “Bluesetta’s Jazz Juice Joint,” consulting on marijuana club regulation in Los Angeles and ensuring things run smoothly at the Marin Alliance office. She is also a volunteer probation officer, a former Libertarian candidate for Lieutenant Governor in the 2006 race (142,851 votes), a blues musician and Reverend in the Religion of Jesus Church, a THC-friendly ministry active in California and Hawaii.

Lol. Praise Jesus and pass the bong !

OMG- talk about an endless parade of losers.

I am actually for legalization of marijuana- as a FORMER user I know its effects and think it is less harmful than alcohol. I can’t understand why it was ever made illegal. I think it would be a good study to track that history.

However, just like anything else, it is open to abuse. We should be cracking down on people who sponge off the system not ALL those who smoke.

I have smoked it in my younger day and I don’t remember it being a pain killer, just smoked it to laugh and get high but it never got rid of any pain that I had. I have a felling that if it really gets rid of their pain, it’s because after smoking it, they don’t remember that it hurts, but how long does that last, an hour?

Jesus wants dopeheads to die. I heard it right here on FR so it must be true.

See, there is the problem.

Indeed. As soon as people even see the word "marijuana" something bad happens to their brain, and suddenly they can't even do a simply copy and paste properly.

"... costs $60 for one-eighth of an ounce of Sensi Skunk, Train Wreck or White Widow."

Whoa! That's $480 per ounce! So much for "legalize it and the price will go down".

Where's the compassion for the sick and dying? Proposition 215 didn't allow for the sale of medical marijuana.

"Shaw smokes one or two marijuana joints a day to deal with chronic pain."

Right.

Basically no real responsibilities except running her "dispensary" where she has a monopoly on pot, selling it for double what you'd pay on the street. A legal drug dealer, in other words.

Apparently in the case of MM, not conducting a dynamic entry raid and throwing the survivors in jail qualifies as "compassion".

"Shaw says 800 people purchase medicinal marijuana from the Marin Alliance each month."

Hmmmm. Let's say each person uses one ounce per month at $480/oz. That's $384,000 per month.

I think I know how she got that "special business license".

Now there's a shock, a flakey dope dealer representing the Libertarians.

It never ceases to amaze me the principles some conservatives are willing to throw under the bus just to get their legal pot.

Tell them it will be regulated as to how much you can grow or possess, that they need to visit a doctor and get a recommendation, they need to purchase an ID card from the state, they need to register and give the government all kinds of personal information, AND they have to pay double to a monopoly for what they used to get on the street and what do they say?

"We think that's great!"

Baaaaaaa!

I think you mean to say that the medicinal effects are strong. At $480 per ounce it'd better be.

We have legal medical marijuana in Canada, grown in a federally-owned and operated facility in Manitoba (actually an abandoned mine shaft).

The complaint from the users is the same: it kills the pain, but it doesn’t give them enough of a buzz.

Which makes you wonder what all the fuss about medical marijuana really was for.

When I visit my bro in Santa Rosa, I'll have to "ask" about the TW/Kush hybrid.

I read warnings about a variety called "Neville's Haze". The description of it warns people not to try it if they are light weights (my words). It will probably send you to the couch for a while.

I picked up on that too. It's funny that the pro-drug legalization is always spouting off about how marijuana is "cheaper" than legally tested medicines and that's why people use it for "medicine".

Baloney. It's primarily a bunch of stoners who are addicted to dope.
