Thanks. Too bad about the way McCain turned out. He was a true hero years ago.
When I said “maybe he is smart enough to know that the tax amnesty is causing a lot of opposition” I meant that he was afraid that would be a built-in “poison pill” that would infuriate taxpayers all over the US, so it would cause more and more bad publicity for the bill, and cause the bill eventually to fail in the House or Senate.
