BUT, the news operations of each of the Big 3 networks are very small parts of very large organizations (CBS Inc., NBC-GE, and ABC-Disney),

So we continue to hit them where it hurts - in their corporate pocketbooks.

Not just turn off the news, but stop going to Disney, buy GE, etc.

Wow! arithematic, not logarithmic decay, still!

(Losing viewers at a consistent arithmatic rate, say 1.5 million viewers per year, means losing a greater and greater proportion of viewers as the total number of viewers continues to shrink; at this rate, in 16 years, network news will cease to exist.)

Blountly...the same-old package that they’ve been dumping on the public for 20 years...has worn out its welcome. More than half the public can now recognize a slanted news job easily now. Frankly....they can’t stand watching this kind of immature media effort. They just want news and facts. The slant is killing off the audience. So until some new fresh face arrives at the networks...and starts old fashion news broadcasts...with facts only and no slant...the decline will continue.
