Speak Out in Public
On Memorial Day, get your friends, kids, co-workers, neighbors, aunts, uncles, grandfathers, grandmothers, and anyone and everyone you know together to show your support for the troops and end the war. Bring Support the Troops! End the War! signs. Invite any local speakers who you think share our message of patriotic responsibility.
Be sure to check with your local authority for any permits you need for public gatherings. Contact local media to publicize your event.
Make sure you conduct yourself respectfully-both for those serving in Iraq and the memory of the brave servicemen and women that Memorial Day honors.

Have at it folks!
Perhaps he means to support al-Qaeda’s troops, which a unilateral US surrender would certainly provide.
I’m surprised the miserable little blow-dried metrosexual bitch-boy could find enough time in between manicures and playing with his gay-ass hair to attend a protest.
...in Victory!!!"
"The unprejudiced acts of the women from Columbus would lead to widespread interest in impartial offerings to the memory of the dead and this "healing touch for a nation" would later become known as Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.
It is profoundly important to emphasize the impartiality of this solemn occasion, a day when differences are to be put aside for a nation to come together as one and pay homage to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom.
It is also of importance to state what this day is not about. It is not a time for partisan politics or a time to convolute the meaning of “supporting the troops” to suit your own political agenda and that is why I find the actions of people like John Edwards utterly repulsive.”
You said it so beautifully, expat. All please check out the link. Thank you.
I am hoping that the antics of Edwards and company will so revolt the voters that they will themselves revolt and put in some real patriots
Support the Troops - Support the Mission
And don’t forget to honor the fallen.
“Support the Troops”
Translation: support the people who HAPPEN to be troops, bring them home, convince them to become pacifists, and disband the entire military. Who needs it anyway?/sarc
And dont forget to honor the fallen.
Exactly what Memorial Day is for-not metrosexual political posturing..
Memorial Day is about people who have decided that the United States is worth dying for, not about supporting a political candidate, not about opposing a war, not about picnics and BBQ’s.
As far as Im concerned there is no way a man can become President of the USA and not even understand the meaning of Memorial Day.
That he would try to forward his own agenda on that day is disgusting. He simply aint "presidential"
As our local Veteran’s Affairs officer would tell you, veterans are those that have served - not those that are serving. Veterans Day is for honoring those who are served and are still living. Memorial Day is for honoring and remembering with gratitude veterans who have died. In my opinion, by removing the emphasis from honoring our dead military to a political issue involving deployment of active military, Edwards disrespects veterans who have died and their families. He is obviously not suitable Presidential material if he would do such an insensitive thing.
johneeee, go find another mirror and primp for heaven’s sakes. You have to be on time in the White House and with you primping your hair all the time and trying to look so cute...ya just ain’t presedentiall material bud. There’s only so much you can do with your hair and all you kept doing was combing and messing it and pushing it and spraying it and looking oh so intently into the mirror. It was a joke. A freakin’ joke. By the time you were finished you didn’t look any different than you did when you started EXCEPT you DID end up looking like a jackass.
