Romans 8

1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father, All praise and honor go to You on this Lord's day. And glory forevermore.

Father, I pray to You today for our nation. We amuse ourselves with so much gossip and triviality that we often miss the big picture. Spoiled and self-absorbed, we forget the God who made us and seek after pagan idols. Exchanging that which is incorruptible for those things which are corruptible and will ultimately burn up, we have no idea of the depths of Your holiness nor Your patience for us. Father, forgive us and help us follow You.

Lord, I pray for the President and ask that You would lead guide and direct him throughout the day. Move in his heart and mind to follow You. Help him with the enemies which beset him, and make His heart long to follow You. Give him wisdom and power from on high. And make Your truth to shine through Him.

Be with our military on this Memorial day weekend. May Your comfort envelop them as never before.

Go with us the rest of this day I pray. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Praying with you, Blogger. Today is Memorial Day Sunday, so we remember our fallen heroes of yesterday and pray for those who are fighting today. Today is also Pentacost Sunday, so we prayerfully thank our Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit, that we may have that fire in our hearts to spread His word and live in His guidance.

Thank you for leading us today, Blogger. I always consider Romans 8 to be a chapter that ought to keep us thinking and meditating every day of our lives.

Thank You, Precious Lord, for the sacrifice of Your Beloved Son who died that we may live. And thank You also for our brave patriots who were willing to stand in defense of our wonderful country, laying down their lives to keep freedom alive in America. We love You, our Lord, and we exalt Your Holy Name forever. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
