Oh, we RELY on Cranmer in my Anglican Use parish. I was just saying that as a Reformation martyr he may not have been so popular with Rome through the ages. I’d defer to your superior theological knowledge if I’m wrong.
I'm just saying that Rome needs to look past Cranmer's understandable confusion (given the political issues of the age) and concentrate on what he got right.
Since they approve him for AUR, they can't have any serious theological problems with what he wrote.
As I understand it, the words of consecration are retranslated from the Latin for the AUR . . .
