The last one being years before she was put to death. And let’s not forget, the court awarded Terri money for her rehabilitation. Michael cashed the check and promptly spent the money trying to kill her.

Check on quackwatch, Hammesfahr has an entry. I have no time this morning, but will find more information for you (although I'm sure you've been shown it many times before) on other points about Hammesfahr. Interesting - you want to discredit how bad the scan looked simply because someone in the MSM exaggerated its effect by pairing with a normal scan taken at a different level. However, you can't see that the various issues about Dr. Hammesfahr's lack of professionalism mean that he was a publicity seeker just wanting to get in on the "action."

Which has what to do with medical issues we are discussing?

Breakfast eaten, last post for at least the next 12 hours.

Had money been spent on Terri’s rehabilitation, it is very possible that her condition would have improved.

I can check with the MSM, DU, DailyKos, Media Matters, MoveOn.org and find plenty. If we want to disparage doctors, we have a huge list of candidates on the other side.

I have been rereading an order to place Terri in Hospice executed by Dr. Victor Gambone exactly five years from when she finally lay dying. The order reads she is terminal in a vegetative state. No care plan was given. She lived five years later and was so healthy it took thirteen days to kill her with dehydration. What kind of medicine is that?

What kind of oaths do these doctors take?

Perhaps we could revisit the broken bones Terri suffered following on to that fateful night and the medical records subsequent, including the testimony of a radiologist, Dr. William C. Walker, MD. Perhaps we could review how well she was doing that first year until loving hubby won his malpractice suit, took Terri to California for that brain implant (Shades of Rosemary Kennedy) and how afterward he isolated and neglected her, and kept checking to see if that bitch was dead yet. I would love to hear some justification of her medical care during that period. Remember when Terri was receiving rehab and was on her way to recovery before that action?

Why, I bet she could even swallow in those days!

Terri on the road to recovery before the second stage began.

With the mountain of evidence and facts we have pushed forward from the beginning, we are the ones accused of being narrow minded. Didn't I mention projection one time or two about how liberals project their own flaws on those they oppose?

Anyway, it would be good to get some of this info back out into the open so people not familiar could learn what really happened, above and beyond mantras of those on the side of the misdeeds.

And that’s the bottom line - that is why I was proud of Congress for what they did. Unfortunately no one articulated this very well to the Media that this was a civil rights issue for a severely disabled woman getting due process. Not a single judge looked at the substance of the case once Greer signed the death warrant.

I'm sure it was articulated very well, but the media ignored it because it didn't fit their agenda.

I’m not sure what Cranford’s bio has to do with this. It sounds like you’re trying to discredit him because you don’t care for the diagnosis, and want to believe something else.

If I were trying to discredit him, why would I simply ask you for his bio background in PVS cases? Certainly you would not discredit him?

>> The scan looks bad, period.

Is it genuine and unretouched? We all agree the deceiver wanted it to look bad.

>> If you have a different scan, that can be reliably sourced to be that of Terri Schiavo, and that doesn’t show such lack of cerebral cortex, link it.

I don't have any other links. I will just stick to Polybius's assessment of this one, whether it's fake or not, that he has had patients with as much attrition walk out of the CT room. Dr. CBB analyzed it very similarly, and that is still online, I believe.

The moral issue remains as well, that civilized people do not put a woman to death for being injured in what was most likely an incident of domestic violence.

I believe Dr. Josef Mengele was a retMD also : )

I don't want to make Dr. Cranford look bad, but he had the sound turned off in court on this one : )

Let's see... since I support the patient's rights, don't you think that I'm against refusing a right to practice a religion, etc.? Nice bit of strawman there, implying that I support things I never endorsed.

Don't you think Mrs. Schaivo, as a practicing Catholic, would have read as far as Genesis 2:24 in her Bible: "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

That doesn't go along with the idea that her parents can keep her alive for their own pleasure*, against both her husband's expression of what she'd have wanted as well as an independent (which expressly stated that Mr. Schiavo's preferences were not taken into account) court ruling.

*The Schindlers stated that even if Mrs. Schiavo had told them of her intention to have artificial nutrition withdrawn, they would not do it! Dr. Wolfson's report stated that "despite the sad and undesirable condition of [Mrs. Schiavo] the parents still derived joy from having her alive, even if [she] might not be at all aware of her environment given the persistent vegetative state." and that

Throughout the course of the litigation, deposition and trial testimony by members of the Schindler family voiced the disturbing belief that they would keep Theresa alive at any and all costs. Nearly gruesome examples were given, eliciting agreement by family members that in the event Theresa should contract diabetes and subsequent gangrene in each of her limbs, they would agree to amputate each limb, and would then, were she to be diagnosed with heart disease, perform open heart surgery.
So I hope you agree with me that the Schindlers quite clearly did not have Mrs. Schiavo's preferences at the fore of their push.

Romney is right - it was a disaster for Congress to get involved. THEY DID NOT SAVE HER!!!!!!! The Republicans in power at the time made a big show but when polls seemed to be going against them, they ALL turned their backs on Terri and let her be starved/dehydrated to death. That’s why I say Romney is right.

You are a joke. Terri's husband was in line to inheret a million dollars if he could kill her fast enough. The Schinders were in line to inheret nothing. They begged to save her. Clearly, you are pro-death.

I say Romney is right because bringing the Feds into a state issue set back the Pro-Life movement considerably.

Mr. Schiavo was offered more than a million dollars to disrespect her wishes. Why turn that down?

Do I feel good about this case and how it turned out? No. I wish we had clearer evidence of what Mrs. Schiavo’s condition was, what her intention would have been, etc. But unfortunately, we sometimes have to rely on incomplete information...we have had to rely on what is available, following our system of law and more than 20 court rulings, even with a conservative, Southern Baptist Republican judge. Life isn’t a 1-hour TV show where everything wraps up nicely and all the evidence comes out, so we do the best our republic offers.

One thing at a time here. Where do you get "her wishes"? Could it be from the Schiavo clan and only from the Schiavo clan?
