Cindy Sheehan Calls It Quits (Hurting Dems?????)
CBSNews ^ | May 29, 2007 | Staff

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced Monday she is giving up her role as the "face" of the American anti-war movement.

Sheehan, 49, of Vacaville, Calif., lost her 24-year-old son Casey in Iraq on April 4, 2004. She has since emerged as one of the most vocal and high-profile opponents of the war, drawing international attention nearly two years ago when she camped outside President Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch to protest the war.

"I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost," Sheehan said.

Surviving children???? Lady, you can't unring the bell you started ringing against your country over the body of your son whom you didn't raise.........I suspect she has been paid off.

whom you didn't raise

Not true. Sheehan was scheduled to appear on a talk show a year or so ago, but declined. The woman that replaced her as a guest did not raise her son, and that's where the confusion arose and has persisted.

There are enough things we can say about Sheehan without perpetuating disinformation.

The left has pulled her funding for sure. The Clintons have told Soros and Code Pink to stop writing checks to her.

"When she had first taken on Mr. Bush, Sheehan was a darling of the liberal left. "However, when I started to hold the Democratic Party to the same standards that I held the Republican Party, support for my cause started to erode and the 'left' started labeling me with the same slurs that the right used," she wrote. "

That's because they were using you - you ignorant twit! Actually, I'm surprised that cBS has picked up the story at all. This breaks the "official silence" of the left towards a tale that embarrasses the left. I wonder how they'll spin it to make it "Bush's Fault(TM)"

The bovine b****h will NOT be welcome back to this part of Northern California. I hope she does come back, though, as I still want to meet up with her ugly puss at the produce aisle of Raley’s.

She’ll spend the rest of her life sorting out the mess she made. Good luck to her.

If you want some real political and Iraq war bias, pick up the latest issue of Rolling Stone (not sure of the issue date, but it has Keith Richards and Johnny Depp on the cover).

In one article, the author states that some old adviser to Reagan (I forget his name) says that in ‘08 “Republicans should abandon the idea of winning and vote for the ‘most conservative Democrat instead: Hillary Clinton.”

LOL!

In the same issue Rolling Stone blasts the war and calls it “The President’s War.” I thought Congress approved authorization of force. And Hillary voted FOR it. If they want to speak in those terms, isn’t it more appropriate (and fair) to call the Iraq War Congresses’ war?

If I can find the article online, I’ll post it... with a ‘barf alert,’ of course!

There's another thread on this subject where she (last I looked in on it) was praised for finally coming to her senses. I guess this is the thread for those who want to bash her for having done what she did in the first place.

Having been there and done that myself, I agree that her earlier actions were wrong and harmful, but applaud her ability to examine the truth and change.

She is taking the millions made in what the Left is only interested in - money. This was not about her son, Casey, it was about making money regarding her loss of her young son, who volunteered to serve his country and was killed in action.

What Cindy needs is a good grief therapist.
