Clinton: 'On Your Own' Attitude Must Go
Associated Press ^ | May 29 | HOLLY RAMER

Posted on 05/29/2007 1:43:14 PM PDT by george76

Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an "ownership society" really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.

"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none."

Clinton said she would reduce special breaks for corporations, eliminate tax incentives for companies that ship jobs overseas and open up CEO pay to greater public scrutiny.

Clinton also said she would help people save more money by expanding and simplifying the earned income tax credit; create new jobs by pursuing energy independence; and ensure that every American has affordable health insurance.

You can buy wooden thread spools at hobby stores. You can also find screw cover caps that cover the screw heads.

Well said :

So here is someone who, by most accounts, has led nothing but a privileged life, flies private jets all over the world, rides in limousines, has servants and bodyguards, makes obscene amounts of money for doing what most working-class Americans would consider very little real work, and she’s going to lecture us about why we shouldn’t have the things we have, things we’ve worked for on our own and earned by the sweat of our brow? I say, f-you, Hitlery. Just KMFWA.

“Yeah, I guess covering up scandals might be considered “work”, at least in the legal profession. But I’d imagine an assembly line worker or farmer would think differently.”
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In her heinous’ world, the assembly line worker will have the opportunity to scrutinize the plant management’s and the company’s CEO’s salaries and then exercise more opportunity to allocate the excess compensation into their own wages.

As for the farmer, well I think we’re all aware of her fellow traveler Mugabe’s method of dealing with the enobled capitalist land owners of what is properly the Peoples land!

And it will be Hillary who will be making all these decisions for us. Isn't that great?!

This statement is as condescending and patronizing as her "we'll need to take things away from you" speech. If the Republicans don't jump on this with both feet they'll have lost what little of my respect is left for them.

We should pass this on.

The future may be ugly if Hillary and friends take over.

Agree on both points. It surprises me that the Republicans didn’t make more hay out the the “take things” speech. That and this certainly show the direction in which she would take this country. Methinks there’s a little Huga Chavez in her.

“Are Republican politicians willing to attack and win the battle against this woman?”

In a word, no.

Hillary is a communist at heart, just like the Socialist pigs who took over in "Animal Farm".

"Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others"!

The false premise that sincere socialists operate under: One can accurately quantify the happiness of another.

Insincere socialists are simply totalitarians.

I wonder if she would go for the TV stations like Chavez.

I wonder if the majority of Americans who hear this understand...truly understand...that she is actually speaking of and advocating Socialism.
I seriously doubt it. I'm a cynic. I have no faith in the relative IQ of the American electorate. And it frightens me.

I remember the shame of what I achieved on my own..... in school, work, my personal life.....

It was a terrible feeling, believe me. </s>

Your “Animal Farm” looks good.

Obama is now also offering ‘free’ health care to anyone who walks in.

Soon we may have more walk-ins.

grrr

How liberal of her :

To take our money by raising our taxes, then spend it on her liberal causes.

IT"S OK to post this twice - I just want to find the other thread but it's not coming up when I do a search.....oh well.

Mark Levin is talking about this right now! (in the Raleigh/Durham area on WPTF Radio)

I keep telling myself the American people aren't this stupid.

Then I remember 1992.

What happened in 1992 was almost entirely the fault of that jug-eared little lunatic from Texas. Xlintoon only got 43% of the vote - if it had been a two-man race, Dad Bush would’ve gotten a second term.
