Is this a “Please Zot Me” vanity?
I’m all for civil dialogue between political parties and fewer ad hominem attacks among proponents of either but if you are advocating a middle-of-the-road approach to this country, you lose me. Morally there is little difference between gasoline and diesel as fuels but if you try to put gasoline in a car designed for diesel fuels (or vice versa), the car will run only a short time before it breaks down. If you try to put half-and-half in, perhaps it will run a little longer (hey, I’m not a mechanic) but eventually it will die. The entire mechanism of this nation is set up for one type of fuel: free enterprise, self-reliance except in extremis, honesty, patriotism, volunteerism, charity and self-sacrifice if necessary. When you tinker with these fuel ingredients, you ensure the mechanism will be affected adversely. Gasoline for gasoline cars, diesel for diesel cars, free enterprise for democratic republics, socialism for socialist republics.

Sounds like you are in the middle. The middle is that portion you have to cross to get to the other side.
Most of us started lefty. I think you’ll find this forum as amazing a resource as I have over the years. You can ask just about any question you want, political or otherwise, and 5 bonafide experts will emerge to answer your question.

The Democrat party of today are about European styled socialism, which has been a disaster.
Democrats believe in giving all things to everyone who can vote for them at another’s expense.
I don’t see on what issues you could want to lean Democrat on.
If you want to say the war, then that IMO would be a great sign of immaturity since we are in a war with terrorist whether we defend ourselves or not.
