MEXICO CITY -- Many here south of the border reveled in her disastrous evening: First Miss USA Rachel Smith slipped and fell on her bottom during the Miss Universe evening gown competition. Then she was booed by hundreds in the Mexican audience.

The treatment of the Tennessee beauty queen was nothing personal. It had more to do with Mexico's sometimes tense relationship with its powerful northern neighbor.

Envy, begrudgery and a giant sized inferiority complex are the elements that contribute to he classless behavior of Mexicans at public events involving Americans. How humiliating it must be for them that their failed culture cannot sustain itself, that it is forced to export its people as a source of foreign exchange. I'd feel inferior and envious also, were I unlucky enough to have beeen born in Mexico. The poor slobs.

I actually watched it (embarrassed to admit but I like the swimsuits he he); they were booing the actual process.....if it had been Miss Botswana that fell and still continued, they would have booed her. Why did USA deserve to continue? - this is not an IQ contest, you are suppossed to be able to walk down the runway - THAT’S IT.
