Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday that she followed all Senate rules when she accepted rides on a private jet from a longtime benefactor."Whatever I've done, I complied with Senate rules at the time. That's the way every senator operates," the Democratic presidential contender said in an interview with The Associated Press during a campaign stop in Las Vegas.
Clinton's travel, along with and consulting fees paid to her husband, the former president, have come to light recently in a lawsuit against Vinod Gupta, a Clinton contributor and chief executive of the data company, InfoUSA Inc.
The lawsuit by company shareholders accuses Gupta of excessively spending millions of dollars, including $900,000 worth of travel on the Clintons.
Sen. Clinton, who complained about corporate America's largesse and skyrocketing executive pay during campaign events Wednesday, said she did not believe her message was undermined by her acceptance of the private flights. In line with Senate rules then in effect, Clinton's campaign has said she reimbursed Gupta at the cost of a first-class flight, typically a significant discount off the expense of a private jet.
"Those were the rules. You'll have to ask somebody else whether that's good policy," she said.

The senator made light of her own personal wealth.
"I know a lot of rich people. My husband and I never had any money ... now all (of a) ... sudden we're rich," Clinton said. "I have nothing against rich people. ... but what made America great is the American middle class."

I save a few buck in between paydays...i can’t relate to this kind of money...democrat or republican.
They bought their first house six years ago and spent the great majority of their lives in government housing in the non-middle class world.
WHAT!? Why does Hillary really want to be President? So she can embarrass herself and the country for four years?
Ha, Ha! Good one!
None of the bugs or serfs who pay taxes were killed or permanently injured in the process, though I believe she had to spit on a few,...I’m pretty sure that’s part of the Senate’s protocol.
She’s playing it in between the lines. Hold your ire, bug! And don’t touch her clothes,...they cost a small fortune.
Consider the source, but Dick Morris is chasing a story about 'ole Billy and how he's been "consulting" a firm that compiles lists of elderly folks who are easy marks for telephone and credit card scams, then sells them to confidence men. Apparently, 'ole Slick has made millions doing this. I'd call him and his "wife" Arkansas trailer trash, but that gives Arkansas and trailers a bad name.....
Mrs. Clinton knows all the rules too. Didnt she take 8 million dollars for a book that violated the ethics rules of the Senate just a day before she entered the Senate?
She knows all the ins and outs of rules that skim the surface.
InfoUSA IS the firm of which you speak.
Hillary “ain’t no ways tired” of using other peoples money. She’s “come too far, from where she come from” to stop now.
Mebbe she needed a wide seat
This Vinod Gupta is the new Johnny Chung. The Clinton grifters have always had sugar daddies to pay their way. Let’s see the NYT do an investigative report on Hillary’s campaign funding.
Does anyone else out there find this as unbelievably nervy as I do? I mean, here is a sitting US Senator, someone who wants to be President. Don't they deal with issues of public policy all the time? Are they not supposed to consider those kinds of things? But Hillary just sloughs it off, like, "I can't be bothered!".
I'm telling you, this is just a taste of what it will be like when Hillary gets elected President. It will be the end of the Republic that has been defended with the blood of our fathers and brothers and sons for hundreds of years. Hillary will single-handedly destroy it, essentially finishing the job Bubba started. God help us all...
If the Dems cannot pull off this immigration fiasco and gain a large pool of Hispanic voters, their party is toast!
Did we ever find out just where she was off to in such a rush and who was flying her there...?
I think that they won’t win the Hispanic vote necessarily.
‘Sen. Clinton, who complained about corporate America’s largesse and skyrocketing executive pay during campaign events Wednesday, said she did not believe her message was undermined by her acceptance of the private flights.’
Gee, a hypocritical liberal.
Dog bites man, film at eleven....
