I have worked ten years as an engineer. I have worked with maybe a handful of women engineers, maybe 6 to 10. Of those maybe half were licensed. Of those maybe 2 were native born American women.
One was fired because she could not do field worked and was a lousy estimator.
I agree. In the field of electronic engineering I have only seen a handful of women.
I have however seen a much higher rate in software engineering.
Still, the field is dominantly male
