My uncle carried the mail in a Toledo neighborhood for many years. He was a plumber in his off hours.
I grew up there. We went back to visit. Shocking is putting it mildly. My sister and her Hubby “went home”. They’re just a couple of hundred dollars away from escaping and they won’t be back. There are no jobs and the “electeds” are a joke.
Toss some chlorox into the printing ink and sand into the gears of the presses to protest the evil management.
What the heck is going on today? McClatchy, NY Times, and Gannett are all way up. Doesn’t make any sense. Can this be tied to Murdoch meeting with the Bancrofts? This is turning into a bad day for all of us who take joy in watching the steady plunge of the newspapers.
