What’s the good news?
I understand the ‘free market of ideas’ is dependent on the laws of supply and demand, but what’s the alternative if and when the independent Toledo Blade folds?
What the heck is going on today? McClatchy, NY Times, and Gannett are all way up. Doesn’t make any sense. Can this be tied to Murdoch meeting with the Bancrofts? This is turning into a bad day for all of us who take joy in watching the steady plunge of the newspapers.
