Nazis are in control of the schools. It is totally unacceptable to punish an individual for uncoerced actions performed by another person.
The DiaperHead’s Blew A SUPER LOUD Horn at my kid’s graduation , After the School Said Hold Your Applause Or You Will Be Removed , Ask To Leave , & etc...
The Diaperhead Don’t have to obey our rules , & The Political Correct School Offical Did NOTHING !
The Diaperhead Got Away With Too , because they are A Protected Race !
Makes Me Sick.......
That is just WRONG!
I can admittedly see both sides of this. It is sad that a school would find it necessary to go to such extremes to distinguish commencement exercises from a pep rally.
What the....??? Since when is a 3.4 GPA anywhere near honors status?
They named her Caisha. Her destiny was sealed from that day.
I’ve been to a few of these. They should have two ceremonies: one that is for people who want to hear their kid’s name and one for people who want to hoot and bark so no one can hear anything.
The schools could think about extending the graduation ceremony by X seconds per student to allow for the cheering for each one. If it were 3 second per graduate in a class of 400, that’s a total of 20 minutes. Big whoop.
At all my kids graduations, each and every graduate was cheered when receiving his/her diploma. As they should be. If memory serves, same held true at college when each of the colleges of the university had its own diploma ceremony. This is a big day for the kids even if they don’t know where the piece of paper is a week later.
Our rotten school system does a lousy job of teaching everything including mathematics. A basic premise of fractions is the part is not greater than whole. A basic tenet of a civil society is that the individual’s selfish needs for attention do not trump the common needs of the group. In this case, I side with the school, although I think the wisest thing would be not to attend these sickening pretentious pompous ceremonies in the first place. Graduating from H S may be a big deal with dropout rates at a ridiculous high, but a H S diploma does not reflect that much literacy given the rotten state of public education today. The wise would not show up for such events. I did not really want to go to my H S graduation but I did so out of respect to my family. I skipped the next three graduations ceremonies in which I earned some diplomas beyond my H S one.
I sympathize with those families who cannot hear their own child's name announced because of noisemaking from other families.
A vote here for old fashioned decorum.
There aer some freakin’ anal administrators at that school!
The damn speeches...THAT'S a different story. Get rid of the speeches and there will be all the time that is needed for all the cheerin' that people want to do.
The education system is a joke.
They think they can get away with whatever they want.
It about time we parents start fighting back. Wonder how they would like it if we just all home schooled our kids.
It would serve them right!!
Unfortunately, this kind of thing happens all the time.
Petty. Very small people with a taste for power.
Announce the name, give the diploma, wait for cheering to be over ,move to next graduate.
