Soju kettles are the bomb. At least until I wake up the next morning. Then, yes, soju is the devil.

“Cigarettes, makli, and wild, wild yobos. They will drive you crazy, they will drive you insane”. Reminds me of an old song and the pleasures of my youth.

Repatriating them back to North Korea...hung over? Isn’t that a human rights violation? I mean, sober would be bad enough.

-—This is a crab season in this area. Apparently, these guys were supposed to be out there catching crabs. Instead they got themselves drunk to the high heaven.-—

I’ve been fishing out of Inchon and we did the same thing.

You caught crabs in Korea?

68/69 for me. Was senior officer on a very small compound with no responsibilty for the compound what so ever. I used to invite all the Jr. enlisted men who pulled guard duty near the BOQ to my unit parties. There was a gate behind the BOQ that you couldn’t see that opened to the village. I had the key for the lock. I did build a bridge across this ditch there after my yobo fell in during a snow storm one night. Life was great. I was drawing hazard duty pay for EOD work plus combat pay for working the DMZ. What a life.

If they go back of their own free will they are not only drunk but crazy.

If they don't go back, their families will be in a lot of trouble. That's the way it works in NK--one person does something and the entire family is sent to camps.
