MORE than 150 police have been injured in violent clashes with protesters at a demonstration in northern Germany against next week's G8 summit, a police spokesman says.

Some of the injuries were serious, the spokesman said, after updating an earlier injured figure of 100.

Masked demonstrators hurled Molotov cocktails, stones and bottles at police as tens of thousands of people marched through the streets of Rostock, a port city near Heiligendamm where the Group of Eight leaders will gather for three days of talks from Wednesday.

Protesters overturned and set fire to several cars, an AFP reporter said.

Demonstrators from far-left groups resumed clashes with the police after earlier rioting had been brought under control.

It seems that all the radical socialistic malcontents in the world have made these economic summit conclaves venues for their sociopathic “conventions,” where they can vent their frustrations collectively over whatever it is that bugs them.

Far Left? How can you be sure? They might be Global Civil Society not to be confused with Civil Society.

The cops ought to pick up those rocks, put them in a launcher, and fire them back.

AN ORGY OF VIOLENCE AS G-8 APPROACHES
German City Rocked by Violent Riots

At least 146 police were injured and dozens arrested in the northern German city of Rostock on Saturday afternoon during a major protest in the run-up to Wednesday's G-8 summit in the nearby resort town of Heiligendamm.

Protestors and police clashed in the northern German port city of Rostock throughout Saturday afternoon in the run-up to next week's G-8 summit. News agencies reported that 146 police were injured, 25 seriously, in the melee between anarchists and left-wing radicals and the thousands of police amassed at the scene. Police in the city reported the arrests of 49 protesters suspected of violence.

Police fired water cannons on violent activists as protestors torched cars in scenes reminiscent of the mass protests in the suburbs of Paris, France, just over a year and a half ago. By early, evening, however, police reported that calm had been restored in Rostock.

more of the organized anarchists.

What are they demonstrating against - bad schools that didn’t teach them what an oxymoron is?

About as peaceful as the religion of peace (pieces).

You know, the issues and allegiances get blurred. For example, the demonstrators are characterized as “far left”, yet one of their main issues is anti-globalism. Now I am hardly far-left but I am also anti-globalism (but I don’t generally throw bottles at police).

Who finances these demonstrators?

Probably Mommy and Daddy. Most of these kids are from prosperous European or American families, doing their version of the spoiled brat slacker's junior year abroad.

The solution?
  1. Arrest anyone wearing a mask to a demonstration
  2. Authorize the Shooting of anyone who picks up / throws a rock
  3. Arrest any group of protesters protecting a rock thrower from immediate arrest / being shot while throwing rocks
  4. Use water cannon on any crowd with a Molotov cocktail, then arrest them.
  5. Authorize the shooting of anyone with a Molotov cocktail.
  6. Anyone arrested at a protest gets 30 days hard labor, no exceptions.
  7. wrongful death suits against police defending themselves from violent protesters will not be heard.
If you announce these new rules of engagement for police involved in a violent protest, you will get outrage, but peaceful protests.

No, I suspect there’s some heavy financing going on there.

Hehe! If someone burns cars I have a solid German answer:

The German authorities made some fundamental faults in the very beginning of this summit. They wasted 100.000.000,- Euros (this is NO bad joke) of hard working German taxpayers on "soft security" like a 12 km long fence and a few thousand policemen for a meeting of 8 gentlemen. If 100.000 protesters should appear on the scene it will make 1000,-Euro/protester for security. I have to say that most of those 100.000 are neither agressive and/or terrorists. That leaves 5000 to 10.000 idiots we have a real problem with.

Therefore I believe that a no go area and a few cheap MG stands would have done perfectly.

I am extremely angy about my tax money being wasted for that kind of BS.

Bloddy typos:

angy=angry

P.S.

A member of my family is in a BGS-squad (the so called German Federal Border Guard = Federal police) and has to risk his as* in Heiligendamm because of this scum. That makes me even more angry.

Brigades of Polish leftist loonies were prevented to enter Germany. I hope that the same pretext will be used to prevent German leftist loonies to attend homo-parades in Poland.
