Bill Bennett: What's his position?
Bill O'Reilly: I don't know what his position is.
Rush Limbaugh: against
Mike Reagan: against
Sean Hannity: against
Michael Medved: For the bill. Refuses to call the bill "amnesty" because, he claims, illegal aliens have to do certain things before they get "legal status". I have not stopped listening to him yet...I would rather take advices on movies from him than from Roger Ebert.
He does support building the wall. Last Friday, he made a remark about Limbaugh. He said that Limbaugh is one of "elites". After all, Limbaugh comes from a very prominent family. He also commented that Limbaugh makes several million dollars. Medved was responding to some criticism stating that only "elites" support the Senate bill. I first listened to Medved in 1997 when he subbed for Limbaugh...
Michael Savage: against
Larry Elder: For the bill. He concedes that it is an amnesty bill. Elder believes that amnesty is necessary. But, he is as not as enthusiastic as THE WALL STREET JOURNAL. He does not believe that illegal aliens would "self-deport" if the crackdown was serious. He doesn't think that automatically granting citizenship to anyone born in US is a good idea. I would not call him "100% open border" guy. When a caller mentioned that the federal government failed to enforce laws after the 1986 amnesty and that she didn't trust the government this time, Elder conceded that the caller had a point,

Hugh Hewitt: Against...In the past, he said that he was a "regularization" guy. A few days ago, he wished that Sen. Mitch McConnell would propose certain amendments.
Like building the wall completely. Like denying "amnesty" to illegal aliens from Middle East countries. Like denying "amnesty" to males from age 18 to 35, to deal with the gang problem.
I think Hewitt would like to support an amnesty bill, but not this "compromise". He seems to be really worried about illegal aliens coming from Middle East. But, not too much about illegal aliens from the south of border...
That's his natural status--against... everything.
Bill O’Reilly used to speak against border insecurity, not recently. Karl Rove must have worked him over.

Michael Savage has been warning about unchecked illegal immigration since his radio debut in 1994. The rise in communicable diseases brought into the US was the subject of the first demo tape he sent out to radio stations. He saw Bush’s duplicity long before it was fashionable, and has been consistent and unwavering in his views all these years.
The idea of penalties in the bill is funny because illegals would have to be caught or turn themselves in to face them.
That makes them a symbolic sham worthy of politicians, but no one of principle.
For starters, we need a border fence and increased security with a real and meaningful military presence.
On the issue of the 12-20 million there has to be some sort of crackdown without excuses.
But the pro-illegal crowd including the president and business leaders-politcial leaders should have tough questions to answer.
Is there a labor shortage with not enough people for the jobs?
If so, why?
Do abortion and “birth control” have anything to do with that?
Which of the pro-illegal business-political leaders have supported those policies (Planned Parenthood, etc) to create a labor shortage in our country?
The one glaring flaw with Medved IMHO is that he has (inexplicably) always been soft on illegal immigration. I don’t understand it.
This has got to be the most crookedest bill I have ever seen go before Congress.
Michael Medved is a Bushbot. He supported Arlen Spector rather than the true Republican candidate in the last election.
Dennis Miller: against, based on his belief that you shouldn’t break the law to come in, and you shouldn’t be placed in front of others who have applied legally.
That Schnitt guy is against. I catch him some in the afternoon on XM 152 but he’s on in 5 or so terrestrial markets. Seems to be an honest to goodness conservative.
Limbaugh seems to think that nonexistent tax revenues, due to abortion, is a large part of the equation. Politicians love to gow government, and they'll get our money one way or another, even if they have to import taxpayers.
Schnitt is a neo-con type. He’s local to Tampa, I’ve heard him for years. A secular thinker, much like O-Reilly.
I can’t listen to Medved anymore. He’s a GOP party tool, straight out of the ebox.
Bill O’Reilly: Off handedly said “it’s the best(compromise) we’ll get” before going into a hard hitting segment on the body language of Rosie O’Donnell and a culture quiz.

That was the day George Bush and Ted Kennedy announced their amnesty bill for 12 - or is it 20? . . . or 30? - million illegal aliens.
