To a standing ovation, Thompson said, "We've got to secure the border first. . . . This is our house, and we get to decide who gets to come into our house."

Now that's what I want to hear!

LOL. I give you evidence why DH is nothing like RR, and I’m “all wet.” Lessee, any bets that Hunter never gets more than 3% of a primary vote? Anywhere?

Now THAT'S an interesting theory, however I don't agree with it.

You are free to do so, of course.

I was just trying to think of why he would advocate fighting Hamas tooth and nail in Iraq, but not on his own soil when he has to be aware of the imminent danger we are in.

I agree with Becky's assesment of him, which I held when I voted for him the first time. He is a good man. The alternative is to believe he is just a liberal sell out -that he is weak and unprincipled. That he fooled us completely about who he was.

I am open for ideas and opinions. What else could have energized the base like this issue and events have?

I think you're slightly out of line.

To a standing ovation, Thompson said, "We've got to secure the border first. . . . This is our house, and we get to decide who gets to come into our house."

NOW, THAT is what I talking about. PROTECT your house and your family first!!! While I totally support the war on terror, WE HAVE TO PROTECT our house and yard also. We cannot allow 12 - 25 million potential bad guys into our yard to trample the grass. I worked to damned hard, moved too many damned times, lived in too many damned sub-par places and run down government quarters, put up with too much BS from too many stupid people, fought a war, and gave the best years of my life for this country to see this country get trampled on. Kick their asses Fred. You have my support and my vote. To hell with RINOs and to hell with liars like George W. Bush, who has utterly and completely forgotten just who the hell put his sorry ass in office. Bush is a total failure as a president in my opinion. The only damned thing the fool has done right was to strike back at the bad guys. What they failed to plan for or to be ready for, was after we kicked Saddam's ass. They just did not plan the post-Saddam era very well and we are paying for it now. Get Fred. Let's go. Get in there. Toss the hat in there and let's kick Cross dressing Rudy and McScream's asses, then take the Marxist Hillary and kick her sorry, good for nothing, lying, thieving fat ass and KICK IT GOOD!!!

Newt has too many negatives, among Republicans. Mitt stands a better chance of sharing a ticket.

"We've got to secure the border first......."

Next we go after any and all criminals, those overstaying their Visas, followed by strong employer's found hiring illegals - arrests, charges, huge fines for those hiring scores of illegals, no government services, i.e. Hud housing, food stamps, child care, Medicaid, no schools accepting children who are in this country illegally, no driver's licenses..... nothing less will cover it, Senator Thompson, nothing at all.

Don't call to secure the border FIRST and leave it open that we will offer immediate legalization to anyone already in this country!!!!!!

That's what we conservatives demand for our support AND VOTES.

“Maybe it is all one grand conspiracy theory. I mean, why would Bush not want the borders secure when he has spent so much time and effort in the WOT? Everyone has always underestimated him, including me.
What could possibly keep the Democrats and Hillary out of power in 2008? Nothing short of the Republican base being madder than hell.
Well, that has happened. You even have Bush standing up and stirring the pot by chiding his own base.
I think he’s crazy...like a fox.”

So you think President Bush is doing this to get so many Americans riled up that border security WILL be done? Then why hasn’t the border ordered last October been finished? I am another who is totally disapointed in President Bush on this immigration bill. I pray it does not pass, and that the borders will be secured and laws already on the books inforced!

I for sure decide who comes into MY house, and Mr Remington backs up my decisions..

If you sign up as a Friend of Fred, you receive the following message:

Thank You! First, I want to thank you for the encouragement you’ve provided me over the past few months. As I’ve said, for a lot of politicians, encouragement to run from three relatives and an unemployed campaign consultant is considered an unstoppable groundswell. I’ve heard from a lot more people, including you. Now we’re moving forward together. Second, I want to thank you for registering as a Friend of Fred. We’re entering a new phase of this process, and if I do take on this challenge, we’re not going to do things the same old way. The so-called ‘experts’ say we’re getting in too late. Well, I don’t buy it, and you don’t, either. We’re going to plow some new ground and make a real difference for our nation. It’s going to take a lot of work. We’ll use the Internet to reach out to people online, but we also need to reach friends and neighbors who may not be connected. We’ll be making a lot of calls, knocking on a lot of doors, and telling family, friends and neighbors that there is another, better way. You will help us bring to our fellow American the message of change and a call to return to the principles of our founding heritage. It’s critical that we address our nation’s challenges through the core ideals of self-governance, free markets, and the rule of law. I believe there is a real sense across our country that we’re tired of the same old petty politics. Our fellow Americans want to see some real change. They want it in Washington, and they want it closer to home. They want a better future for themselves and for their families. We can do it. Thank you again for your encouragement and support. I think we’re starting something special.

You can contribute to Fred's campaign here.
