Events over the last few weeks have made it clear how much danger we, as Americans, would be in if Liberals gain the White house in 2008. The following is a statement made by Muhammad al-Janabi of the Islamic State of Iraq, a front for Al-Qaeda in Iraq:
"I can assure you that we will start pressuring Bush in a new way at the same time he is facing pressures from the Democrats....."
It is clear from this statement that the terrorists in Iraq see the Democrats as allies. Much like Sinn Fein was the political wing of the IRA in Northern Ireland, Liberals can now be seen as the political wing of Al-Qaeda in the US. This is a worrying development in view of the fact that 3 US soldiers were kidnapped around the same time as this statement was made and both events were close to the time Harry Reid made the "war is lost" comment.
The recent fights in Congress over funding the war are an encouragment to our enemies in Iraq. What is important here is not how we view this fight over the war: it is how the Islamic militants view it, how they interpret what is happening. When Democrats constantly attack Bush and try and end the war by de-funding it or trying to impose timetables for withdrawal; the enemy sees that as support for their cause.
In this way Reid, Pelosi and Feingold and others of their ilk are responsible for the lives of those 3 soldiers. One we know is already dead, and there is little hope for the other 2. The terrorists were emboldened by the Democrats to take those soldiers. Democrats are virtually inviting them to make this war more bloody and severe, especially for US soldiers, to reduce our resolve.
Recently 6 suspects were arrested in New Jersey, foiling a plot to attack Fort Dix. Just yesterday 3 people were arrested, one in New York, foiling a plot to blow up fuel tanks at JFK airport. Remember this; if Democrats were in charge those plots would have been successful, because the surveillance and wiretaps would not have taken place. More Americans would have died. How many others like those arrested are there in the US? There are probably hundreds of them. Ask yourself, how are we going to catch them before they kill if Democrats intend to stop tracking financial transactions and stop surveillance and wiretaps? Who is going to protect us? How many of us are going to die before we wake up and stop the Liberals from gaining office again?
September 11th 2001 was a direct result of Bill Clinton's weakness on terrorism. His lack of action against them for numerous attacks and the cowardly withdrawal from Somalia in 1993 emboldened them. If Gore had won in 2000, there would have been no military response to the attacks. If Kerry had won in 2004 we would be fighting the War on Terror with subpoenas, search warrants and indictments. The current Democrat field for 2008 sees the War on Terror as a bumper sticker. What a fool Edwards is and no-one else in the field denounced what he said. But that is the kind of attitude we can expect towards the threat of Islamo-Fascist terrorism if we let them win.
This country cannot afford a Democrat victory in 2008. It will cost too many innocent lives. Bush may not have made all the right choices on Iraq and how we fought that war and continue to fight it. Liberal weakness gave us the attacks on 9/11. We have not had a Democrat in the White House since then. We can see what having a Democrat controlled Congress has given us in just 5 short months; terrorists see them as allies, co-ordinating their military campaign with the behaviour of Pelosi and Reid.
A Bill in the House this week attracted only 129 votes, but it was a Bill to withdraw the troops from Iraq immediately. Pelosi voted for that Bill. Feingold tried the same thing in the Senate with the support of Harry Reid. This is the leadership of Democrats in Congress. God help this great country if they win in 2008. All that will be left of the War on Terror will be bumper stickers, because it will be abandoned.
Luckily we do have some politicians in Congress who see the danger. One of those is Jim DeMint from South Carolina. Singling out Harry Reid for special criticism he said:
"Al-Qaida knows that we've got a lot of wimps in Congress......I believe a lot of the casualties can be laid at the feet of all the talk in Congress about how we've got to get out, we've got to cut and run."
America cannot afford another President Clinton or a President Obama, or Edwards, or, God help us, Biden. Al-Qaeda must be licking their lips at the thought of one of those as President in tandem with the current Congress. We must make sure they do not have that feast to feed on.
