An anonymous White House official said neither the people on the far left nor far right are going to get what they want on the immigration bill. What about middle America? I guess they don't count.
Of course we all know that has little to do with the far left or right.

“I wonder if W would be good enough to list all the other optional laws for us.”
There are no “optional laws” for US, just the people he prefers - foreign nationals.

("President Bush: Read my lips. It is not an amnesty bill)" That's funny. Same song, second verse, eh? Lord, I hope that's the end of that song.

He has lost it to the extent that I question his sanity. That's totally uncalled for. There is no reason to question his sanity. It could be he's drinking again!

>>The only things that appear redeeming about this monstrosity are insignificant "narrow slices" that are wholly outweighed by the bill's noxious provisions.<<
It is a preposterously bad bill overall, but if you look really hard you can find "narrow slices" that would be good if they were voted on separately, like the ending of the stupid "Diversity Visa" program. We are not surprised when congress sneaks some pork into a bill that would otherwise be good law. But this bill is almost all bad.

"Jeb is soooo screwed." Hahaha!
George to Jeb: 'Hey, I'll be your campaign manager!'
Jeb: 'Great! If I win the Garbage Commissioner's race, I'll hire you as a dumpster driver.'

Most proponents know very well that this bill would bloat the federal budget. Indeed. This is a "Great Society" program for the third world.

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.

The immigration bill will cost 2.5 trillion dollars. Spread out over 300 million people, that's a tax of more than $8300 per citizen.
