John McCain Warns Illegal Immigration Enforcement Could Lead to Riots
The National Ledger ^ | Jun 3, 2007 | John W Lillpop

Just when the dust was beginning to settle following President Bush's latest assault on common sense, in which he accused conservatives of "spreading fear" by being honest about amnesty, Senator John McCain decided that fear mongering was not such a bad tactic after all. In fact, McCain decided that fear mongering was essential in trying to sell his amnesty snake oil to a skeptical and increasingly suspicious public.

On June 2, McCain rolled out his fear-based defense of amnesty on the campaign trail in Le Mars, Iowa. Responding to a question about deportation of illegal aliens, McCain delivered the following dilly: "In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,'' McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

Do they ever show any worry or any kind of concern one way or the other about us? Seems they worry a lot about them and show nothing but disdain for us.

They think of us every April 15th.

“There should be a riot alright, from everyone opposed to this amnesty crap.”

Ditto. Today’s headling: “opposition fading to immigration bill...” ... my first thought was “BS!” - I believe that’s just an out-and-out lie from the politicians, who are going to ramrod this thing through no matter WHAT the vast majority of the population wants.

Boy, this makes me mad. If somebody tries to burn my car they will get hurt and not by policemen.

Hell’s bells, McQueeg. I thought they were all nice law-abiding folks just here to do the jobs Amurricans won’t do! Now you’re saying they’re actually a ticking time bomb in our suburbs just like the yoots from Paris? Well, which are they?

Way to insult all your new constituents there, Johnboy.

Imagine 12-20 million tax evaders being protected by such reason?

Perhaps if they let the illegals in, 12 million of us ought to refuse to pay taxes. Based upon all of the pro-amnesty arguments, we’d all walk away scot free.

McCain even thinking he has a chance at the office of POTUS is really a riot.

The difference between France and the US John is that thanks to the 2nd Amendment we don´t have to stand by and watch them burn cars, houses or businesses.

Should this bill pass the Senate we should be prepared to march on Washington and demonstrate our displeasure with their rule by Monarchy to bring some sense to the House and our wayward President. I do not want to see more foreign lawbreakers demanding entitlements and rights in this country. They show their faces again and they should be arrested and deported. How our lawmakers give in to those demands amazes me. Time for us to vacation in DC and reinvigorate ourselves with American History and be a part of it.

We have a written Constitution that should prevent us from having to demonstrate, but clearly our elected officals have abdicated their responsibility and have not enforced the law nor protected us from invasion. It is up to us to see that they do so. Time for removal of all politicians who broke their oath of office.

“[The purpose of a written constitution is] to bind up the several branches of government by certain laws, which, when they transgress, their acts shall become nullities; to render unnecessary an appeal to the people, or in other words a rebellion, on every infraction of their rights, on the peril that their acquiescence shall be construed into an intention to surrender those rights.”
— Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia [1782]

".....I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

Trust me, John, ain't gonna happen "here in the suburbs of America."

Unlike France, we in the suburbs of America have the Second Amendment, have passed "Right to Carry" laws, and so far, have at least the propensity to dsiburse large, unruly crowds (unlike the civil servants in larger cities run by liberals) our citizens are "armed and dangerous."

Gangs of "youths" (aka Hispanic gangs who are pis**d off at being returned forcefully to Mexico) aren't going to turn our "suburbs" into a rubble of burned cars, smashed stores, and terrorized citizenry!

Is there some kind of mechanism where we can get McCain & these other idiot politicians (Bush included) out of office NOW? Clearly, they have stopped looking out for American’s interests. I feel like I’m living in a parallel universe all of a sudden!!!

Can you do it by petition? Seriously, did our forefathers give us an out if these dopes start trying to destroy our country? These guys gotta go!

'' McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America."

IOW, they have a gun to our heads and we better do what they say.

We have lost the war to control our own borders and the legislation pending in Congress is the surrender document.

Oh no, not riots. We just can’t allow that to happen. They can stay. After all, what will the rest of the world think of us if we have riots?
