Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. Abraham Lincoln
Governor Richardson, Ive got a message for you from President Lincoln: Too late.
All the Democrats in Sunday nights New Hampshire debate had one thing in common: The more they talked, the worse they sounded. And the poster boy for this trend was indisputably Bill Richardson.
Whos been spreading the idea that Richardson is the break out candidate in this race? He was lousy in the last debate and worse in this one. Richardsons rambling, ill-informed musings were so jaw-droppingly awful, the voters of New Mexico may be tempted to impeach their governor out of sheer embarrassment.
Gov. Richardson may be the first presidential candidate in history to talk himself out of the vice presidency.
From a performance standpoint, the indisputable winner was Sen. Joe Biden. But even he ended up talking away his own victory.
Bidens success came largely from his common sense and his passion. His spirited efforts to explain the basic workings of American government to the nutroots in his own party (ably represented by Dennis Kucinich) were refreshing, inspiring, even. Biden is solidly critical of the war in Iraq and President Bush, but he also understands that sending soldiers to fight and not paying for the war is an unconscionable mistake that the American people wont support. He was angry that his fellow Democrats abandoned the troops, and it showed.
But Biden didnt know when to turn it off. He seemed pretty steamed about everything else, too. Darfur, dont ask, dont tell, immigration at one point he even used the phrase speaking truth to power. You go, Joe!

LOL... he was picked as Hillary's VP back in 2000.
I wish the voters were that smart.
Richardson reeks of doinkiness. I saw a few lines of his interview on Russert’s show last weekend. His reponses to questions like “What are you doing about the price of gasoline?” were so weak. Phew! What an idiot! How’d he make it successfully through a campaign for governor?
Go to the link and read the whole article.
Hillarious.
Too many good lines just to post one.
When did Richardson try to help Monica find a job at the UN? That’s when I think he was picked to run with Ms. Clinton. :)
Hillary regrets her healthcare plan. She regrets her Iraqi war vote. I keep waiting for one of the other candidates to respond with, "Your history of regrets demonstrates poor leadership."
Richardson may not be good in debate, but in NM he is king of the hill! People there really believe in him.
I read the article. Didn’t see Richardson’s debate comments quoted. ?????
People in NM seem him as a real leader, or maybe wish to view him that way.
Was hoping to see “Billerey” in a Tux.
“Your history of regrets demonstrates poor leadership.”
exactly. her health care benes are at the top of the list, ONE MORE TIME.
‘97... ‘98? I’m not sure. All I know is last night they were all hugs & kisses.
None of these people is qualified to be president. They have no ideas and they have no executive experience. They have also outlined a platform made up of every devestating loss they have experienced since 1972. Take the anti war Govern, mix in tax raising Mondale, and get the Hillarycare defeat of 94 for a tasty recipie for the biggest defeat in history.
Then, if that's not enough, have CNN design the ugliest set in TV history for your debate. That must have been a collage from s kindergarten class in their pubic skools.
The audience was scary as well...

LOVE it!
Have to disagree with that. King Bill, as he is known here, has a captive, corrupt dem legislature and vote fraud is rampant here..guess who counts the votes? Thank God he is term-limited.
In other words, a key constituency among Democratic primary voters in 2008 will be insane people.
