The FredHeads
The Jawa Report ^ | June 4, 2007 | Ragnar Sanchez-Danneskjold

Posted on 06/04/2007 10:38:31 AM PDT by Politicalmom

You may be hearing here and there about the 'FredHeads.' It looks like you're going to be hearing a lot more about them in the coming days and weeks. Mary Matalin has started to take notice:

Tim Russert : "Mary Matalin, has Fred Thompson waited too long?"

Mary Matalin : "No, he's not waited too long, and this organization is just building around him. Last night at that event, just in passing, a young person came up to him and said, well, 'We have captains in every county in the state for you. We have volunteers all over the state.' Everywhere we go there are 'FredHeads.'"

(Video clip of Mary here.)

My source in the FredHeads tells me that the FredHeads now have a presence in a majority of states.

In some states, they have operatives in every county, and some are now organizing at the precinct level.

If all this is true, I've never seen anything like this.

Just hide his wife, or else someone take her aside and tell her how to dress.

We remember Reagan.

There have been several events where her dress was less than modest. She’s already going more conservative.

i think the very politically savvy Jeri knows quite well how to dress for political events as contrasted with hollywood related events.

This looks pretty bad to me. So does the tight black low cut thing someone else just posted. Mrs. Romney looks classy. This looks like Fred taking his daughter to the prom.

I would agree with you, but some of the pics we have seen she is attending a Hollywood function and there most of the women seem to dress street corner chic....

Hopefully her style will become more tasteful.

Does it make anyone but me very nervous to have Mrs. James Carville at the center of the Thompson campaign?

Remember, that’s *conservative* (pardon the pun) for that Hollywood function.

Some of the female attendees have been known to show up in little more than three credit cards and a watch chain.

where are the pix of her dressed in evening gowns at political events? it is a fact of life that women dress differently for different types of events. the campaign trail isn’t a hollywood gig and i imagine she knows this quite well.

I don’t know, but the “it’s ok to look like a trashy ditz in Hollywood” line of argument isn’t working on me. I like Fred. I wish him luck. And I’m no prude. But she looks more like Jenna Bush than Laura Bush, and that’s not a good thing. There are matters of decorum. Hopefully she gets her act together fast.

Exactly - she’s dressing appropriately for whatever event she’s attending.

Thing is, the Hollywood stuff is so horrifically bad of late - but that’s the current fashion....

Let’s not forget that both Thompson’s ex-wife and ex-girlfriend (no, no extra-marital affairs there) have stated that they’re still on friendly terms with him and are more than willing to campaign for him.

That’s all I’m saying. I like Fred. He may end up being my fave. For all our sake, she needs to classy it up a bit. She looks trashy. She needs to get conservative right quick. She can start by keeping the sisters under wraps, if you know what I mean. Maybe a more mature, conservative hairstyle wouldn’t hurt. Try to look serious. This crap matters. She’s a reflection on her man.

and as far as mrs giuliani goes, my objection to her is not so much her style of dress, as it’s her lack of moral fiber.

Well, in her defense, I think she was pregnant in those pictures. A woman’s...um...body changes when pregnant and she may not have been prepared for that. The black dress is actually quite nice.

Those dresses are probably far more modest when she isn’t pregnant.

I'm just saying appearance matters. Hell, for the first lady, that's what it's all about. And she's a reflection on him. GWB benefitted mightily from the class and dignity Laura exemplifies. She's a terrific first lady. Classy, pretty, reserved.

The Romneys are handsome, but beyond that, they present themselves in a manner appropriate for the roles they seek. Jeri needs to get on it fast. Appearance isn't everything, but it can tell you alot. I like Fred. I want him to be successful. He needs to get his girly straightened out.

Let’s just get someone up there who will FIGHT, and BE POLITICAL, dammit, unlike Bush.

Prosecute folks like Berger. Investigate and expose what went wrong before 9/11 - and we know where the fingers point.

And actually call the leftist/democrats on their FAILED POLICIES OF COMMUNISM.

I really do wish Fred a lot of luck. He seems like a real contender. And I'm far from Miss Manners, but then, if even I can see something wrong, there must be something wrong.
