Thanks also for the very instructive post. Too bad our idiot politicians can’t understand that a cheap yet effective answer to illegal border crossings is and has been available.

They are REALLY stupid if they want this bill passed, as having such a fence would allow them to truthfully say “we’ve essentially closed the border to illegals” - whereupon the debate would shift to issues that are easier to deal with.

For the most part, "we the people" are, but it's apparent that most of our elected representatives just aren't on the same page.
