Why dont they use Son of, el- or al-?........ Dunno. They didn't ask my help in establishing the language. ;-)
"Al" pretty much means "the." They're all named "Al" around here.

Don’t tell the media that the insurgents have switched sides and now do joint patrols with our troops to hunt down the foreign Al Qaeda scum.
Rummy was right. This would have never happened with a larger “footprint”.

As John Edwards would say, I see two Baghdads.......
I'm not saying that the Shiites and Sunnis in Baghdad will ever get along 100%, but I do think we are working towards a point where the civilian population is helping us a lot more, and to a point where the two sides can co-exist (assuming that Iran and Saudi Arabia don't meddle in things).
If we get a lot more of these people tipping us off about the bad guys, then that means that not only can we work towards retaking all of Baghdad (and we have to retake the whole thing - we can't let parts of remain under radical control, period, end of story), it also means that the civilian population is feeling more secure (secure enough to help us - if these people are caught helping us by Al-Qaeda, they and their families are dead).

Rummy was right. This would have never happened with a larger footprint.
While he was right about that, and I agree - we should have had a lot more force going into Iraq in 2003, he also has to accept some blame (most should be put on Bush) for not ramping up the military after 9/11, when it was clear the "war on terror" was pretty open-ended and could take place all over the world.

Another thread hijack in progress? There are plenty of threads on FR to discuss your thoughts on illegal immigration. This is not one of them.
I believe my remarks were to Joe and not you.
No one is hijacking any thread you politically correct nitpicker.
If you don’t like my remarks about jihadists having some of the same mentality as many of our politicians then defend the terrorists, RINO’s and Liberal left to your hearts content.

Should STOP detaining terrorist, shoot them on sight. My first thought too. However, wouldn't it be prudent to put panties on their heads in order to gain some intel/info? You know, torture, according to the NY Slimes.
