I respectfully disagree with your statement, I’m tired of the ethanol lobby picking our presidents. As far as traditions go, this one is both bogus and sad.
This has nothing to do with ethanol, it is RETAIL POLITICS in its purist form. These small states, Iowa and New Hampshire, are where candidates go to take their case to the PEOPLE. It is about shaking hands and kissing babies but more importantly it is to show off your campaign organization.

The straw poll has little or nothing to do with ethanol and the ethanol lobby does not pick our Presidents.
