Large parts of our elected representatives seem to think it is OUR and THEIR responsibility to take over the responsibilities that should rightly belong to the Mexican government, and it has been like that in one form or another for at least 60 years. NOW, though, it has reached the tipping point. If they don’t get the message now, they have sealed their fate forever. I expect them to keep fighting, and thinking they can hammer out a bill “which will pass” by tweaking a few things here and there. They will be wrong again. We should inform ALL OF THEM THAT PROMOTED THIS BILL THAT THIS IS OUR COUNTRY, NOT THEIRS!

I say give the reconquistadoras one year to go back to Mexico, then start guest work visa program strictly for current residents of Mexico. No Z-visa nonsense, and if we found the applicant had already been illegally in the USA within past five years, we get their labor all right — making license plates in concrete houses.
