We seem to have won this round on immigration in the Senate. What is next for those of us energized on this issue? Looking for your opinions. What organizations, steps do we as individuals take next?
Besides the millions of Mexicans our government has given us thousands of tribal Africans and now plans to give us thousands of Iraqis.
Its called Enforcement...
We do not need reform...
The rule of law is already gone. A primary Constitutional role of the federal government is to protect us from invasion (Article IV).

The phones should keep ringing telling the bums to enforce our laws. The laws that are already on the books. Build the damn fence.
We certainly can’t let up.

I still believe that the 7 Senators and John Kyl should be constantly reminded that we are going to work hard to defeat them in their next Primary.
I favor an admendment revoking automatic citizenship for children born on US soil. The child should assume the nationality of the mother.
This will stop border crossing babies and reduce the split family problem.

I know that Nelson in Florida’s staff told me sweet nothings every call, that he was “leaning against” that he voted for the amenment to bar felons, but when push came to shove . . . he voted for cloture . . . his staff claimed that he “always” votes for cloture.
Continue to demand massive deportations.
If we show some serious backbone, many will self deport. We should have a pretty good indicator how such a program will work as France implements their deportations of illegals with a goal of 25k per week.
We CAN do the same: we don’t need to “clog the courts” like Tony Snow and other apologists claimed. We don’t have to do much of anything except round them up and move ‘em out. They can have their hearings on the bus....
That would be the optimal to push for along with the fence being completed, not promised....completed.
If they ever pass a guest worker statute this is needed, because otherwise the guest workers have a baby, and then that baby as an American citizen is able to get his family naturalized through reconciliation.

Fining employers who break the law, deporting with all due haste illegals who break the law, building the wall that has been approved and funded but held up.

Build a big fence, and enforce the law as it is written today. Jail employers that hire illegals, cut off all aid.
Right. Keep up the pressure. Don’t let them think the public is calming down which would open the door for another attempt at passage.
Progress on the fence from this day forward will tell how serious they are about solving this problem...
Take money away from the Congress.
They try again in pretty short time.
Meanwhile they attach their favorite parts as riders to other bills.
