This is the city that turned loose 98% of the illegal criminal entrants to the USA and now they want to increase the murder rate with that of other big cities.

Could the increase in Illegals have something to do with the rising crime?

The day that Bush announced the "Grand Compromise" immigration bill Senior "Lopez" decided that his wife was having an affair. This suspicion upset him to the point that he spent most of the day drinking tequila with some new acquaintances. Before he left his new friends he purchased a Lorcin .380 semi-automatic pistol for $300 and an unknown quantity of cocaine for $200. At this point he was not exactly thinking clearly but he recalls snorting all the coke and then attempting to drive to his apartment.

He passed a Kenosha County Deputy Sheriff at about 10:30 pm and the Sheriff noted that "Lopez's" vehicle had a burned out brake light. The Sheriff attempted to signal "Lopez" to stop but "Lopez" turned off the highway into a sub-development and attempted to evade the patrol car. The Sheriff followed him into a dead end street where "Lopez" pulled over and stopped. The Sheriff then approached the stopped vehicle on foot and "Lopez" shot him three times, twice in the head and once in the chest. The Sheriff had UW Parkside police as backup during the chase and subsequent shooting. That officer went to the Sheriffs aid and called for medical and LEO backup.

"Lopez" was found several hours later, on foot in the immediate area. He was taken into custody and was found to have eight forms of identification, under eight different names as well as five Social Security cards, each with a different number. The reason he gave for shooting the Sheriff was that he thought that he might have been in a "hit and run" which he could not quite remember, so he shot first thinking to evade arrest.

He killed a seventeen year veteran officer, leaving behind a widow and a seven year old orphaned daughter. The day of the funeral it took over three hours for the cortege to pass with over twelve hundred emergency vehicles paying their respects to our fallen hero.

And lest the Mexican Ambassador try to pitch a fit because one of their "Nationals" is facing a capital offense. Wisconsin does NOT have the death penalty. So it appears that "Lopez" will turn out to be a life long guest of Wisconsin taxpayers who will shell out $35 to $50 thousand a year to keep him warm and cozy for the rest of his natural life.

Regards,
GtG

“The mayors want to halt a 4-year-old amendment they claim blocks law enforcement from getting crucial information about deadly weapons.”

Firearms in the hands of the law-abiding are not “deadly weapons” except in defense of life and property, and then only when used against deadly predators, as condoned by ethics, morality, long-standing custom, and – in those jurisdictions which are not utterly benighted – statute.

“’We don’t want to take guns away from hunters,’ Hickenlooper said.”

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution has absolutely nothing to do with hunting, imbecile.

As usual, the anti-gunners are clueless. That many of them are mayors speaks, yet again, to the corruption and incompetence of government on this issue. Far too many officials become petty tyrants the moment they enter upon their duties in elective office.
