Any one of our top four would beat Hillary IMO. Hopefully she’s the Dem nominee.

So who wants McCain or Rudy?

How does she do against Duncan Hunter? :)

These polls mean nothing now. the dhimmicrats will fall in line and vote in Hitler or Sanjaya Malakar before voting in a Republican, even if the Republican is a Republican't RINO who says all the things they want to hear.

Yo, John Cena...you can't see me!!!

I don’t think Rasmussen is going to poll matchups with Duncan Hunter for 2 reasons. 1) He doesn’t have a chance 2) The average american has never heard of him.

Because while we at FR know all about Duncan Hunter, the average joe who has not even begun thinking about next year’s election has never heard of him.

So that means what, exactly?

(so far I agree with what you said)

How does that result in the conclusion he can’t win?

Hunter’s an impressive candidate.

Look, I think Hunter would make an awesome president. And would do a lot of good for America.

But he’s got too many dis-advantages right now. Lack of name recognition, funding, and just facing too many big names. He doesn’t have the money or resources to be able to compete with the GOP’s big 4 (Giuliani, McCain, Romney, and Thompson).

Our next president is going to be one of these eight people: Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, John Edwards, or Al Gore (in the event he decided to run.)

The more Hillary is before the public, the more the public turn away. People are getting tired of her.

The number three Democrat in the polls has consistently performed better than Clinton and Obama in general election match-ups. Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards currently has a two-point advantage over Giuliani.

Hair over substance.

I think it will be Fred vs Hildabeast in the end.

Fred winning that one.

Apparently in response to the bunched-up primary schedule this campaign season, Giuliani and McCain both recently announced that they would sit out the straw poll in Ames, Iowa this summer.

Bull. They sat out because they didn't want to finish behind Romney, Thompson (Fred), *and* quite possibly Huckabee at the event. McCain might have found himself finishing even further back. Neither of them could afford the embarrassment.

"...opened a double-digit lead over Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D). "

Then, here is the solution: In all states that allow either party to vote in the Democrat primaries, all conservatives should go and vote for Obama. That will put Obama running against whomever the Republican primary winner is, and get hildebeast out of the picture.

It’s simple, Cringing. You don’t do poll-matchups against someone like the beast, with huge name recog, and someone like Hunter, who is still just getting started getting his name out there. She would probably beat him in the current poll and, as you say, that would mean nothhing. So to the pollsters credit they aren’t doing that matchup right now.

Hunter doesn’t have the money base and he doesn’t have the name recognition to get the donations.

He is consistantly polling in the 1% range. I don’t see that changing.

That is dependent upon the hurricane season this year.
