War and immigration, again, with a special emphasis on the notion that it's all Bush's fault (again).
no attempt at analysis or ever research this week. I've had a full week at the MS Tech Ed conference plus trying to squeeze in an hour here or there with my family at one of the parks. Yesterday evening and all day today we're doing SeaWorld on our way out of town. Right now I'm typing this from the patio of Mango Joe's cafe while we wait for the kids to come back from one roller coaster or another. Alas Babylon! and I did get together for a couple of drive by howdy sessions, but a llittle thing called the Space Shuttle blew our plans for Friday night as Dave wanted to see that. I see from his thread that they made it. We watched it from Shamu stadium and it was spectacular, even from 40 miles away. The one advantage we had was a 60 foot video screen to watch NASA TV of the launch we were seeing live over the tops of the buildings to our east. Pretty amazing. We were even treated to real near levels of sound from their sound system in the stadium.
I'll leave it at that.
The shows look good and we get two doses of Tony Snow. All is right in the world if that ever happens. On one appearance he'll have Turban Durbin telling us how the White House hates immigrants and didn't do enough to get the bill approved while Joe Lieberman will likely castigate the White House for being too easy on border security. Tony knew what he was getting into when he took the gig.
Mark Kilmer has posted his preview over at RedState.

a minimalist talk show preview thread is up. No analyis and no research. Sorry about that. My only excuse is that Bill Gates, Mickey Mouse and Shamu have kept me too busy this week. Right now this is being posted via wireless broadband from SeaWorld.
I could live with this...

Hiya, Phsstpok. Very cool that you are posting from your current remote locale.
Actually, Joementum will be talking about the positive developments he sees in Iraq from which he just returned.
What amazes me is that there is zero appetite in DC for a really “good” immigration reform bill. I guess no one wants to take it on because Teddy Kennedy doesn’t ever want immigration done the right way.
You all have a great time.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness. Now, I can read my
book and ignore the wit of Ronald Reagan, the role
model for honest, I said honest, politicians. JK
PS: Good read for R’s...D’s are beyond hope.
To: Phsstpok
Hmm, no Jeff Sessions or any pro enforcement types. This is bad when Bush and MSM are in cahoots!!

Intresting article here.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-backroom/1846388/posts
Beware the Bloggers’ Bile (Joe Klein blames left-wing blog kookery on RUSH Limbaugh)
Intresting for three reasons.
It indicates the Political Left isn’t willing to hear anything in the “News” that does not validate their emotional based dogmas about Iraq.
That Left leaning Journalists, far from being objective, are subjected to, and respond to, considerable pressure to tow the party line on Iraq.
That the Left is serious stuck in denial about the impact of their own debate on their political fortunes. THIS is the normal type of discourse directed at anyone who disagreed with the Left during the 1960s-1970-1980 etc. Anyone who either went to College in that time frame or lived thru the Reagan era knows this debate tactic has been t the standard operating procedure of the Left for decades.

Thank you! I was dying with curiosity to see how the Know Nothings were going to interject their knee jerk Bush hater dogma into this thread.

&&&&
YES!!!!!!
I dreamed about Paris Hilton last night ---- she was sleeping in my bed, as an escape from jail, and she had a bald spot on the crown of her head where little dark hairs were growing out.
-----
And I purposely did not watch any TV yesterday just to avoid the words "Paris Hilton."
How cool that you were able to watch the Shuttle Launch in such a terrific way!.

It looks like we are just going to get the supporters of the Senate bill’s side of the story. Snow will be shilling again for the WH on why we need the bill and how they will redouble their efforts to get it. Where are Sessions, Cornyn, DeMint, etc.?

If I were them I would be at the door demanding to be heard. Here we have the White House in collusion with forces that have worked to impugned them in the past. Absolutely remarkable!

even a minimalist pre-thread is better than almost anyone I know could produce.Tony sounds interesting although I expect my head to spin “just a little” over the past weeks events.

Excellent take Bah! For an issue that has 80% of the American people all saying the same thing, secure the border first, you would think the congress critters might just start to get it, maybe we need mass firings in 08.
