The "New Majority" are RINO liberals. If they succeed in taking over the CAGOP, the party will disappear into oblivion. California doesn't need two liberal parties. You only have to take a look at how the RINOs ran the New Jersey GOP. Straight into the ground.

New Jersey is one example, but the ultimate example is Massachusetts. Until the late ‘50s, it was either near or above majority party status at the federal and legislative level. Thanks to the Country Club WASP Brahmin liberals and their ethnic and working-class hating schtick was done, today, they are reduced to having 11% legislative (and 0% federal)..., far below their registered numbers (and usually, the GOP has more, not less, than their registered numbers in office in most states) and what few Republicans are left in office are virtually all go along to get along leftists.
