Verhofstadt's allies, the Socialists, were predicted to lose in both Flanders (dropping to 17.4 percent, from 23.5 percent ) Amazing, Europe is going away from social government while the US is moving toward it.
(I.E. Belgium and France)

The extreme rightwing, anti-immigrant Flemish Interest party would get 18.5 percent of the vote (down from 17.9 percent) to remain the second largest faction. down?

The francophone socialist party has been mired in corruption scandals lately. Now there's a shocker.

It seems this is becoming a (welcome) trend in Europe.

What irony.
Europe gets out of socialism from Germany to France and now Belgium.
Years and years of taxing, rule-making, welfaring, re-distributing, taxing, has resulted in stagnation, high unemployment, in spite of all those rosa red promises about fleecing the rich to save the have nots, or better:
those that are unwilling to strive, compete, or take risks.
America is on course to pick up and absorb what those Europeans have thrown overboard.
Hillary, Obama, Edwards are you observing or does your mind stay locked?
