President Bush expressed confidence on Sunday about passing an immigration bill and said a Senate vote of no-confidence about Alberto Gonzales would have no bearing on his service as attorney general.
"I believe we can get it done," Bush said at a news conference on the final day of his eight-day trip in Europe. "I'll see you at the bill signing."
Thank you President Bush. Your words do more in a second, than I can possibly do in weeks, to rally opposition.
Ducking now.
TSN ping
how about a vote of no confidence on the President.
What on earth is he thinking, asking a democrat for help to pass amnesty?
And walking the streets for him.
Flame away- I won't respond, but will put you in the "enemies" column, forever.
At least with a Dem, you know you've got a Son of a Bitch...
This is infuriating on so many levels.
I was thinking yesterday about his goal of turning Iraq into a free and democratic society yet he thumbs his nose at our own.
We’ve spoken loudly and clearly to him and through our elected representatives about what we expect, but he could give a damn.
He knows what HE wants and he’s doing everything in his power to get it and shut us up.

(John McCain, unable to explain to a constituent why the fence which was in the LAST immigration reform, still isn’t being built...)
Very good video.
I won’t flame away....I AGREE with you.
Bush is a clueless, arrogant fool. He’s thumbing his
nose at the people who elected him to office. Screw him.
If Tom Tancredo wants to stand out from the pack of
Republicans running for president, he should introduce
articles of impeachment in the House. That would
really shake things up.
Thank you- I’ll place you in the “FRiends” list...
I didn’t think we’d ever see it, but we’ve got a Republican Carter.
I respectfully submit I’d have been glad to help furnish the rope.
It MIGHT be Patriots have to align with a few moderate Democrats to kill this thing. If those can be convinced that by obstructing this they’re helping put President Bush firmly into a lame duck position, they may be willing to help resolve and kill this once and for all.
Because of Bush’s blatant contempt for and belligerance toward the Conservative base, it’s come down to a choice of support for him or support for what we feel is best for America. I’ll choose the latter.
“weve got a Republican Carter.”
I agree. He’s every bit as bad.
I hope that the President is talking about a simple, single-purpose immigration Bill to secure our borders with adequate follow-up funding to stop the leak. That is what this country needs. That is what the people want. Then, after we have demonstrated the will to secure our borders, we can then and only then take the time needed to rework our immigration policy, including how best to deal with illegals in a just and compassionate manner, including nationalization of the English language. We can save billions in costs of dealing with multiple languages that would more than pay for our border security.
His arrogance makes my skin crawl.
