Well, the anti-illegal immigration voices here were stamped out (generally speaking) some time ago. All I can say is, I truely truely hate that.

Someone asked me recently what I was thinking on the presidential primaries. My answer was, it won’t really matter if the Ammnesty bill passes.

I’m absolutely sickened, though not surprised at all. People get too caught up in pro-Bush and forget about the veto power that was granted to the INSTITUTION of the Presidency of the United States.

This is a very large knife in the back of every American Patriot! I don’t give a damn about protecting someone’s legacy, I’m more concerned about the future of the United States of America!

In lieu of getting banned for inciting anything...I’ll stop there. I’m pissed!

Your time line is correct, but your warning of doom is understated. This isn’t going to be a simple morphing of the US...it will be a devastation of the culture, the economy, and could eventually will lead us to armed conflict within our boundaries.

Yep. Just wait until 1000 newly minted citizens show up outside the Saturn or Toyota factories in KY and TN and announce they will do the jobs of the auto workers for half the price..

Most people don't know what is included in the requirements for immigration...they don't know that in the provisions of the AMNESTY Bill, the illegal aliens are not required to meet any of the prerequisites mandated by law...

One of the reasons the immigration system is in such a shambles and is so shamelessly exploited by employers, politicians, "advocates" and lawyers is that Americans pay little attention to immigration.

And why should they? If they don't have relatives or friends or whatever going through immigration there is little need for the average citizen to know anything whatsoever about it.

As for your second point, you're right. I walked with my immigrant wife from marriage abroad to her residency and citizenship. I know what she and I both went through, and what it cost in time, money, effort, worry, and careful diligence to meeting the requirements for an immigrant visa.

The illegal alien Z1 visa pool has to do little of what's required from a lawful immigrant. And what little they are required to do is from the comfort and convenience of American soil, not from 4,000 or 8,000 milles away.

Ummm...not to rain on your parade, but they're not learning, much less speaking, English NOW

Well, I guess I'm left starry-eyed by my wife and her friends, almost all of whom speak English at some level of proficiency.

But they are forced to, I suppose, since there's no Vietnamese barrio for them to hide in, and no "Press 3 for Vietnamese" on most automated telephone systems.

That’s good - at least he’s not having to compromise while he’s going through all the cancer stuff, although he’s deal wrong on this issue, as well as Bush.

It’s so clear that we are facing an invasion with employers using the invaders to make money.

That's pretty tame stuff compared to the last three weeks of postings.

lol...contrary to any conspiracy theories floating around, I’m no more protected than anyone else around here.

Hell, I’m to the point of asking how long would it take to get 12 million Americans to withdraw themselves from the SS system and obtain international ID’s.

The dems want to serve up Rove, Cheney & Bush and still have time to pull that off. Is this an exchange for that? Come on, WTF? I’ll sit back and watch Iran Contra II if he signs this thing. It’s not exactly a secret, there’s a lot of dots out there that the dems want to connect!

Ok, enough for now.

FReeper kayak who passed away recently used to have a quote up from Reagan about how upset his supporters were in California when he was Governor about the compromises he had made.

"If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that's what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it." ~~ Ronald Reagan
I have highlighted a very important thing in boldface. First of all, I don't see the position of "we'll fight for the rest later" being espoused by the open-border, amnesty RINOs. Secondly, the first part hasn't been met--75 or 80%. One must realize that Ronald Reagan didn't fight for all but the barbed wire to be removed when he said, "Tear Down This Wall!"...his goal was 100%. Until we're on a course that doesn't permanently cripple our ability to get 100%, then we aren't at a point where compromise is a responsible course.

My opinion: The administration knew Tony Snow was sick when they hired him. Tony needs employment while he is being treated for a very serious bout w/cancer.

The prez is surrounded by yes men but imo, it is not about compromise. Tony Snow will say anything to keep his job. He doesn't look well at all.

Meanwhile, where's Mel Martinez? A makeover? Fundraising among corporations cuz real Americans won't give the RNC a dime???

LAST QUESTION: If they shove this down our throats, what are real U.S. Citizens to do? (all rhetorical questions except the last one.

It’s so clear that we are facing an invasion with employers using the invaders to make money.

Worse than that, we're actually being taxed to pay for the invasion.

see my last post. Tony’s sick and they knew it when hired him. There are only yes men in the administration, did you notice? The only innocent people are in jail or going to jail.

There's a lending co. in Tampa called Latino home loans. I bet they have low or no closing costs and better interest rates than the real U.S. Citizens.

Further, the DOT is using ILLEGAL ALIENS TO RE-DO CLEVELAND ST., Clearwater, Florida. Media, pls investigate same.

Once they’re given legal status they won’t be limited by job type...they’ll be after everyone’s jobs.

Within a year or two the bureaucrats and Hispanic activists will force employers to demonstrate that they’re not racist by proving that they’ve hired a certain percentage of Hispanics”. Within a generation the number of “Americans” who’s citizenship began with a crime...or their children...will surpass 70,000,000.

At that point they’ll be one generation from being the voting majority in the US. If you think that the potential voting power of Hispanic illegals give politicians a little “hard-on,” just wait until they’re withing a generation of being the voting majority in the US. That’s when the pandering will be completely nauseating, and completely unchecked. The majority poulation, relatively split between parties, will be an effective minority, as the vast majority of "new citizens" will be in a new Democrat block which will effectivly rule the party while the guilt-ridden idiots...many of whom tend to be the Democrat party center, today...follow along as the party drags the US more toward open socialism.

Somewhere along this time line the black population of the US will eventually realize that they’ve been completely sold out, by both parties, and we’ll have one hell of a mess on our hands.

Bread and circuses... Once this bill passes into law the US is just two generations from the end.

yeah, Doocey’s expression was like “yeah, ah hah, sure.” But, Doocey is restrained to say very much. Fox is a tool of the administration. Sometimes they’ll throw conservatives a bone at night but that’s on the pundit shows, not the reporting wing.

Contrasting/comparing your wife's and her friends' accomplishment to the estimated 11-20 million illegal aliens is a stretch.

But they are forced to, I suppose, since there's no Vietnamese barrio for them to hide in, and no "Press 3 for Vietnamese" on most automated telephone systems.
Well there you go.
