Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) "hates" George Bush (Vanity)
Yet another DUmmie actor speaks out. Yesterday's "Inside the Actor's Studio" featured Kyra Sedgwick, who, when asked "what sound do you hate the most?" responded "George Bush's voice." (Paraphrased from memory)
My wife is a big fan of "The Closer." I can tolerate it because it's important to Mrs. MarineBrat. I mentioned to Mrs. MarineBrat just how ignorant it is for an "actor" to inject political beliefs into a discussion about acting. When it becomes more important to get a dig in than it is to avoid insulting half of the audience... brilliant! Brilliant!!! Oh, wait, she's not really smart like the character that she plays... she just acts that way. I hope it comes back to haunt her bad! (Which is why I posted this vanity anyway) :)

With all the whackjob moonbat actor/actresses coming out of the liberal closet these days, I try to separate the characters they play from their actual lives. Otherwise, I couldn't watch ANY movie or TV show.
Good to know there's still a few American women actresses out there. I like her character even more now.
She does have a hot bod for a woman her age, gotta respect that. Must be even tougher for a woman than a man, I have to fight it every day to stay in shape.

And Kyra's voice on that show is like fingernails on a chalkboard: people who live in glass houses, etc.
But yeah, sometimes people catch something in a politician's persona that rubs them the wrong way, and eventually you have to wonder if they might not have been on to something, even if you voted for that candidate.
So maybe her response isn't wildly different to the response I had to Carter and Clinton, and others had to Johnson and Nixon. And maybe some of her reaction has been borne out by what's happened. So I'll give her that.
But still, it was a gratuitous cheap shot.

I have lived in Atlanta for the last 35 years and I have several friends with that same accent. Very few people in Atlanta have a Southern accents because they are mostly transplants. One friend is from N.C. and sounds exactly like her.
Georgia is full of different regional southern accents, and this one, although not too common, can definitely be heard here in the south. Some people here find it charming and others hate it.
James Lipton asks the same questions of every guest. They’re really stupid questions, IMHO, but criticizing someone’s voice is not the same as criticizing the job Bush is doing as president. I think you’re blowing an off-hand comment totally out of proportion.
There are plenty of actors whose political stance I don’t like, but it doesn’t keep me from enjoying their movies. I am able to separate one from the other.
I have encountered this in Pine Bluff Arkansas, too.
One movie, I think it was a made for tv movie is called Door To Door.
OMG-—i LOVE this movie. I saw an interview with the real guy it was based on, and Macy did an amazing job. A very inspiring and uplifting story.
If she wants something to hate, she should hate the sixties culture that killed her cousin Edie Sedgwick.

Why did you support him when he was running for office? He was for Immigration reform and the path to citizenship when he campaigned; he hasn't changed his mind since then. I'm truly amazed at the frenzy that has been whipped up about this, and can't help but wonder who's behind it, egging it on.

Yeah, I was watching the movie Phenomenon and she bugged me during the whole film. And I’ve seen old ladies with more choppers than that puss. But maybe that’s why the guys like her : O

Yesterday on the View, Michael Moore was on and oh my goodness did that man have some serious issues with his mouth. It was so gross. Like looking at a hippo’s ass opening up.
