Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) "hates" George Bush (Vanity)

Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) "hates" George Bush (Vanity)

Yet another DUmmie actor speaks out. Yesterday's "Inside the Actor's Studio" featured Kyra Sedgwick, who, when asked "what sound do you hate the most?" responded "George Bush's voice." (Paraphrased from memory)

My wife is a big fan of "The Closer." I can tolerate it because it's important to Mrs. MarineBrat. I mentioned to Mrs. MarineBrat just how ignorant it is for an "actor" to inject political beliefs into a discussion about acting. When it becomes more important to get a dig in than it is to avoid insulting half of the audience... brilliant! Brilliant!!! Oh, wait, she's not really smart like the character that she plays... she just acts that way. I hope it comes back to haunt her bad! (Which is why I posted this vanity anyway) :)

One movie, I think it was a made for tv movie is called Door To Door.

It's based on the true story of a man with cerebal palsy (William H. Macey) who sells Watkins products door to door. At one point he hires Kyra to help him deliver orders. It's a pretty good movie, but, I'm alays surprised when dems do movies like this and still don't learn anything. They try to get him to go on disability but he refuses to do so saying he can still work. He doesn't want to be a burden to society.

This I’ve never understood. Who cares? Do you like the acting? Then watch it!! Reminds me of those annoying people back in the 70s and 80s that used to complain about music. “Well I like their music but they said x about something not music related”. Now if the quality of the music, or in this case performance, goes down don’t watch it. But what someone says about something not related to their craft should not affect your opinion of that person’s talent

I have to say President Bush’s voice irritates me also. I am so disappointed in some of the things he has done-so what.

Same here. I change channels when he comes on and just read what he said on line. Half the time I can't even stand doing that, anymore.

She also did a movie with her husband where she played the soon-to-be girlfriend of a man convicted of child molestation. It was pretty dark.

Kyra who?

She’s some two bit TV actor who actually thinks that what she thinks or says is important. Well, Kyra Whoever, we don’t care what you say, think, or do and not only that we think you’re stupid as well. Thanks for the heads up!

Reminds me of the old quip (Grant Tinker's?):

"Ed Asner has Lou Grant's image but Ed Asner's brain".

Same here. I change channels when he comes on and just read what he said on line. Half the time I can't even stand doing that, anymore.

His down-home, country style way of speaking was charming when he was campaigning in 2000 (and even in 2004).

Nowadays it seems forced and irritating. I don't know if it's what he's saying or how he's saying it, but it grates on me after more than a few minutes.

But then, so do the voices of most politicians. They sound like bad professors lecturing to their students. Very few politicians talk to people any more, they talk at people.

I hear you. Do the same myself. Never thought I’d see the day but recent antics sealed it.

Our dislike of President Bush extends to his policy on immigration and lack of resolve for defending his judicial nominees.

Don't forget his inability or unwillingness to refute any of the bullcrap that the Democrats spew, which lets them get away with saying anything they want to without any repercussions. And then there's the little Rules of Engagement thing, where our troops are prosecuted for trying to stay alive and win a war. And the policy of negotiating with Iran and Syria and the Palestinians, instead of making a fire and holding their feet to it.

I don't hate President Bush, and I respect his office, but I sure disagree with some of his policies and the ways he handles Democrats and the Old Media.

As for The Closer, it's a piece of crap anyway, and I have no use for it, and Kyra Sedgewick is ugly in my opinion, with that big wide mouth and thin liver lips.... yuck.

Yeah, I was one of his biggest supporters. People used to call me a Bushbot. Now, I try to ignore him.

My first, and so far only, exposure to Kyra Sedgwick was as the co-lead in the movie Phenomenon

I liked her, not in a horny kinda way, but her character was just, I dunno, so nice and tender to the dying John Revolta's character.

I still like the movie, maybe that's a testimonial to Revolta's acting, as much as I dislike the guy.

Being a sci-fi fan, the premise was neat, as much as I disbelieve in such nonsense. Escapist fantasy. That's what movies are for anyway.

The actual actress Kyra is not very attractive to me, actually, pretty unattractive. No surprises politically.

I am angry about the immigration situation, never liked the prescription drug plan, and wish he used his veto pen more in his first term.
THAT BEING SAID, I am not about to jump ship and join the Hollyweird, monday morning QB crowd. The war on Islamofascists and the fight for a free Iraq are the most important issues we have faced since the Cold War and the threat of MAD.
I am not about to go weak-kneed and join the likes of Sedgwick, Baldwin, and O’Donnell. To imply the kooks out on the Left coast are smarter than any average Joe is laughable.
