New Thread Ping
hello!
So raise your glasses high, my friend
And pray for things that never end
The Cadre sleeps lightly, true
And Cadres past are watching you.
Sing glory of the soldier gone
Sing glory too the airmans song
But who took them and made them so
It was the Cadre friend and now you know
The Cadre stands and watches night
And waits again for morning light
The Cadre never sleeps my friend
And at the sun we march again
So sing the song of heroes past
And pray we have never seen their last
But God knows the Cadre friend
And be His will they never end
And never loved and soon to fade
No battle won or victory made
If not for the Cadre who taught them when
And at first light they begin again.
Who trained the troops and waited quiet
The Cadre watches through the night.
ANON.

hi mrs nooseman!
here’s a fav poem of mine :)
Where the warm cuddles are
The light travels slower
As it shifts down to yellow
the roaring fire and embers glow,
the yellow burns to a golden red.
comfort of being home, together.
Dog on a rooftop
Snake in the glass
Wanting Relief
Rat in a cage
this is sounding more like a zoo,
than home. oh yeah, we live at the zoo.
kids in the choir
statuary hall
doors begin to open
the quiet girl on the stairs
watches the menagerie
passing by like a parade
dark brown eyes
a soul glowing through
it was always you, babe

Everybody who reads that thinks we a nuts, you know.

READ: Exodus 35:30-35
[The Lord] has filled him with the Spirit of God . . . to design artistic works. Exodus 35:31-32
Why plant flowers? You cant eat them, said my father-in-law after witnessing my spring ritual of filling pots with fragrant and colorful treasures from the garden store. Jays dad is an engineera practical sort of person. He can make anything work, but making it beautiful is not a priority. He values function over form, usefulness over aesthetics.
God created us with different gifts. Engineers who work for the glory of God design machines that make life easier. The Lord also created artists, who make life more pleasant by creating beautiful things for the glory of God and the enjoyment of others.
When we think of art in worship, we usually think of music. But other art forms have long had a role in glorifying God. The calling of Bezalel demonstrates Gods regard for fine art (Ex. 35:30-35). God commissioned him to beautify the first official place of worship: the tabernacle. Gods purpose for the arts, says Gene Edward Veith, is to glorify God and to manifest beauty.
When artistic talent is enlivened by the Spirit of God, it becomes an act of worship that then can become a witness to point people to Christ. God has greatly enriched our lives with beauty. And we in turn express our gratitude by displaying His glory in our art.
I am, I am.
