Question ~
Do you know if Mormons refrain from all carbonated drinks, or just caffeinated ones?

Someone was saying how youthful Mormons look bc of their clean lifestyle, and included carbonated drinks.

I’ll not say anything bad about a fellow Republican. That’s all I’ve got to say.

“Do you know if Mormons refrain from all carbonated drinks, or just caffeinated ones?”

The official LDS Church advice is to refrain from caffeinated drinks.

"I have asked you repeatedly to either produce quotes where you claim I have lied or apologize. A decent person would do so."

OK, here we go.

YOUR POST 178:  I corrected my one misquote (which didn't alter the overall meaning either).

You did finally provide the correct quote, but to say it did not alter the meaning just adds to your long lists of lies.  Let's review.

Fred Thompson:  "I get some benefit from not having been one of, you know, ten people standing, sitting, you know, standing there at the debates and raising your hand and all the other things that kind of denigrate the office of the job."

YOUR POST 133:  "Debates are demeaning to the office of the Presidency"-Fred Thompson 6/12/07

Firstly, when you put things in quotes, it better be accurate, not what you think you might have remembered.  Secondly, debates was not the subject of the sentence, so to say you did not alter the meaning it ludicrous.  The subject was 'standing there at the Debates' not 'Debates', two very different things.  So that was Lie #1.  Let's look what else you said.

YOUR POST 96:  We may never know the answer to any questions about Fred since he has no intention of participating in debates. He finds them “demeaning.”

YOUR POST  148:  Fred Thompson stated it on the Tonight Show last night. He said he was not participating in the debates because they were demeaning to the office of the Presidency. I heard it. The quote is accurate.

Lie #2.  Fred never said anything remotely close to that he had no intentions of participating in the debate.

I did not bother to include all the times you said Fred ran as a Pro-choice candidate and his position was the same as Romney's, which is also a mischaracterization at best.  Romney did not denounce Roe v. Wade until recently, Fred always has.

So no, your little correction and the spin there after does nothing for me but re-confirm what I said before.

I’m sorry. The fact that your little fantasy is falling apart must really be upsetting you. That is the most nonsensical, repetitive post I have ever read.

Watch the 1994 youtube video. Click on the links at the top of this page. Fred was pro-choice.

Lay off Fred please! It’s pointless, he is not even a candidate yet. Let others enjoy their favorite candidate all they want. When the race gets serious, then we can have a serious discussion. Yes it’s true that Fred’s statements haven’t been always pristine and he will have to deal with it.

I don’t want to a see a fan of Mitt resort to the same disingenious attacks employed against him. If Fred actions show a pro-life record then he is pro-life regardless of any harping. Likewise, all of Mitt’s actions as Governor were pro-life, then it should be equally honest to treat him as pro-life.

And finally, Fred joked about the debates. I can’t imagine him not participating in the debates, it is silly to suggest otherwise.

No he wasn’t. His position on this has not changed one iota since then. Watch the videos of him now. It’s the same exact position:

No federal involvement. States decide. Don’t criminalize the women. He never says anything about doctors.

Apparently not to you, since you are attempting to distort it.

Yes truth matters, but, in my opinion, (not that I am perfect at it; far from it) so does the manner in which one treats others.

Yeah, those Mittocrits attacking Fred for having a young wife and for having “bags under his eyes” are really too much to take, aren’t they?

When it comes to selling ideas, looks, intelligence, and charisma all matter. And that’s really what this boils down to. We’ve always praised looks, but we called it charisma. A turn of phrase, if you will.

But that said, there are far more reasons to support Romney.

1) He has displayed a much greater capacity to define, plan for, and address our nation’s economic future than any other candidate I’ve seen in ages. The USA needs to get back to competing in the global economy. Right now our levels of corporate taxation are among the highest in the world. It’s but part of the reason comanies are moving overseas. We’re simply not competitive enough.

2) Our workforce is becoming increasingly inferior. We’re flooding our nation with an incompetent, illiterature workfocre. Meanwhile, if someone with skills badly needed here want to come and live here, it’s a royal hastle. Heaven knows our universities aren’t churning out engineering students like we need them (partially because kids can’t even perform basic math these days). And I have Romanian friends with Master’s in engineering who are fluent in English: they’ve applied and haven’t been able to get in.

3) Romney is right on the border isssue and on illegal immigration.

4) He’s the only candidate speaking correctly about tort reform, and not just as it refers to bogus medical malpractice lawsuits. Did you see Thompson bomb that interview the other night?

5) He is the rare Republican who isn’t afraid to call out Pelosi, Reid, and Clinton for being traders and failures as statesmen. He calls jihadists just what they are: jihadists. Over and over again, Romney and Cheney are the only Republicans sending salvo directly into the Rats’ front line. After 8 years of the Bush White House, it’s about time.

And the list goes on...

Yes it does but many can’t handle it so just let them remain in a state of illusion!:)
