The churches around here have had a problem with free loaders also. I don’t understand how people can be sorry enough to rip off charity.

I dont understand how people can be sorry enough to rip off charity. But they do. I went to a private case in a decent Austin neighborhood about 10 yrs ago. I couldn't believe what I walked into. From floor to ceiling and every square inch in the kitchen, dining room and living room was PACKED with groceries acquired from food banks.

I offer to take them some place and buy them lunch.
Sometimes it is accepted, often it is refused.
I never give money.

I also live in South Minneapolis, and have for almost 50
years. When I go downtown, I carry. Maybe it’s the confidence
I exude, but no one has challenged or accosted me with, or without my young blonde girlfriend. They must sense something.
