My Immigration Bill

Posted on 06/14/2007 6:56:39 AM PDT by SwaggerStick

How can we make my version of this Immigration Bill better?

Immigration Bill

Immediately pass legislation that changes illegal entry into this country from being a civil offense to a criminal crime. Immediately pass legislation that English is this country’s official language.

Anyone illegally returning to this country after being deported should be two candy apples.

Obtaining, distributing or creating fraudulent documents should be a felony offense.

Deport all Illegal Alien’s that are currently in jails or prisons.

Deport all Illegal Alien’s that have felony records.

Deport all Illegal Alien’s that have not worked in the last year and filed federal tax forms, thereby proving their employment.

Secure the Mexican border with 700 miles of barrier, on the Mexican side of the barrier every 20 feet paint the following warning in Spanish “Warning, if you pass over or under this barrier, you will be given one candy apple” Notify the Mexican government they will be responsible for keeping the warning messages free of graffiti and readable.

Add the necessary number of border patrol agents and or visual surveillance technology to identify anyone scaling over or tunneling under the 700 mile barrier.

Create the necessary number of candy apple makers equipped with helicopters so any point along the border can be reached by them within five minutes air time. Have the teams in an alert ready state, ready to be airborne within 60 seconds.

Issues orders to the border patrol agents, it is mandatory to hand out candy apples to anyone that has successfully passed over or under the barrier, No more dog catching type circus acts. Notify the Mexican government its their responsibility to notify all citizens living within a hundred miles of our border they may be rewarded with candy apples if they try crossing our borders illegally.

There should be four types of tamper proof national ID cards. An American Citizen Identification Card, A Legal Immigrant Identification Card, A Temporary Worker Permit Identification Card,. A Temporary Seasonal Worker Permit Identification Card.

The Legal Immigrant Identification Card will be replaced with an American Citizen Identification Card when the Immigrant becomes a citizen.

Mandate that within the next 90 days every person living in America (legally or illegally) register with homeland security so the National Identification Database can be updated. Every person registering should be finger printed and eye scanned. Based on documentation (birth certificates, legal immigration papers, etc.) we should be able to identify Illegal Alien’s during the registration process. During the registration process issue an American Citizen Identification Card to citizens, issue a Legal Immigrant Identification Card to legal immigrants, and issue a Temporary Worker Permit Identification Card that expires in 3 years to Illegal Alien’s currently employed.

After the 90 day registration period, a reasonable fine should be levied for late registration. No late registration for Illegal Aliens.

After the declared 90 day registration period deport all Illegal Alien’s that have failed to register with homeland security.

Stop unemployment, social security, government retirement, and any other government benefits being paid to anyone, legally here or not, who failed to register during the 90 day registration period. The National Identification Database must know every single sole living in America even if they were born in America.

Notify all business’s that draconian fines and mandatory imprisonment to top executives will be levied for employing anyone without one of the three national tamper proof ID cards after the declared 90 day registration period.

After the declared 90 day registration period notify all Illegal Aliens that in 6 months all unemployment, social security, and any other government benefits will stop.

After the declared 90 day registration period notify all business they have 3 years to replace all workers having A Temporary Worker Permit Identification Card with workers having either a American Citizen Identification Card, a Legal Immigrant Identification Card or a Temporary Seasonal Worker Permit Identification Card

Three years after the declared 90 day registration period anyone without an American Citizen Identification Card, a Legal Immigrant Identification Card or a Temporary Seasonal Worker Permit Identification Card should be deported.

The need for immigrants to start assimilating into American society should be restored, enabling and encouraging non assimilation should be discouraged by levying heavy fines on the business community. No more phones, Automatic Teller Machines, etc. with Press 1 for English. No more non English speaking employees interfacing with the public. It’s okay to employ people with minimal English speaking skills but they should NOT be interfacing with the public.

After 3 years anyone illegally entering this country should be immediately deported. No more court hearings with defense lawyers doing their dance of deception.

I called my senator Lott this morning. I wished him a happy Flag Day, and reminded him he work for Old Glory and not the Mexican flag.

Enforce existing law and sue the government for not doing so. Those that don’t want to enforce our laws should be run out of office. We don’t need more laws that no one will enforce.

Can we bring that suit? A class action against the open border allowers?

I called Cornyn’s office this morning, I do about 3 times a week at least, to urge him to continue to vote no on cloture and push to enforce laws on the book blah, blah....

The staffer said he is getting on average 1000-1500 calls a day almost all being against the bill. I bet KBH is getting more since I haven’t gotten through in many days and she is a waffler.

I thought about sending Lott a Mexican flag to hang on his mantle.

He probably already has one.

As a free American I will not submit to any of these restrictions on my privacy even to stem the flood of illegals. Take away the incentives such as free everything at the expense of the tax payers and fine their employers even you private day labor week enders.

Enforce existing law and sue the government for not doing so.

Cut off taxpayer funding to any local or state government that won't enforce the laws.

Lot's of good ideas there. The issue could be much improved just by the simple enforcement of existing law. Here are some ideas I posted a few days ago--

I guarantee you that if someone with old-fashioned sense were in charge, the illegals could be taken care of. It could be done with decency and respect for human rights, and without excessive disruption to our economy. It would take a comprehensive plan, but not one that includes amnesty or even a right to remain.

1. Enforce the law. That means jail and fine employers of illegals.

2. Shut down the financial structures that have been put in place for illegals.

3. Pass a law that says that the children of illegals are not citizens.

4. Pass a law that takes public services away from illegals, and fight that law up the Supreme Court. It is time to revisit that terrible, legislative decision by the Supreme Court in the 80s that said that the children of illegals must be allowed to attend public schools. It was an outrageous exercise of judicial arrogance. That decision is a big part of why immigration has gotten so bad. It's a magnet for families, where it used to be just single men who snuck across.

5. Enforce the Law. Build the fence.

6. Enforce the law. Catch and deport all the illegals that you can. If you have to increase the budget of ICE a few billion, it is a pittance compared just to the health care costs that illegals cost us in San Diego county alone. Nationwide, illegals cost us hundreds of billions per year.

7. Increase the penalties for illegal entry into the US. They forfeit their cars if you catch them driving down the street. If they buy a house with money illegally gained through tax-free work in the US, I would not take their house, but I would impose a hefty fine against it.

8. Enforce the law. If they have fake ID's or engage in identity theft, they should do jail time equal to what you or I would get if we do the same thing.

9. Enforce the law. Station armed national guard troops at the border until the fence is proven to do the trick.

10. Enforce the law. Jail and fine enablers of illegals, who are engaging in conspiracy to violate the immigration statutes of the US. Not for people who are engaged in charity, but those who hide them or otherwise affirmatively assist the crime.

I would also take steps to minimize the disruption caused by 20 years (3 Bush terms and 2 Clinton ones) of neglect and outright contravention from the top. We have to understand that our nation's leaders caused this problem and the people who are here are just responding to a desire for economic betterment. Most of them are not criminals and most are decent people, and we should have respect for them as humans, even while we make absolutely clear that the days of our nation allowing this invasion to continue are over.

I would announce that the laws will begin to be enforced zealously as of a date certain, and allow those who will leave voluntarily a date by which they can leave without penalty, so long as they don't return illegally. Those that own property can apply for a period of time to remain in order to sell it. I don't think it will disrupt the real estate market because very few of them own a home. They can go back, apply as temporary workers, or apply for a visa if they have a skill we need. If they don't leave by that date, they will forever be barred from ever entering the US. That will clear out a lot of them.

I would go after the employers first, so that they release the illegal workers and the workers start self deporting. At the same time there would be some high-profile actions at large employers of illegals--meat packing plants for example. Both workers and employers would be brought to justice. That would lead to more self deporting. The more serious actions, incarceration and systematic large scale deportation, would be for the hard core stragglers, who refuse to leave. However, as time went on, and it became more and more evident that it would be futile to try to continue to remain and work here, the cycle of self deportation would accelerate.

The process would take, all told 3-5 years, I believe.

These are just a handful of measures that could be taken, most of which consist simply of "Enforce the Law". A candidate that makes this his policy will win handily in the next election, I believe. If not, if a majority of Americans will vote for allowing the death of American sovereignty, traditions and culture, then we are done for anyway.

I like your plan, now if we could just get the corrupt
congress to implement it.
