I would adopt your view, but I believe this is one of the tactics that the old Soviet Union used to get rid of dissidents. Send them to an asylum.... : )

Well, like minds. The grab for power is in overdrive.
The simple truth is that the BATFE, and much of the FBI, thinks all Americans, save themselves and the local law, should be in the NICS system, and they aren't too sure about the local law.
With the NRA endorsing this, there is no way Bush would *not* sign it. The House has passed on a voice vote according the NRA/ILA . It's a sure thing the Senate will pass it as well, probably also by voice vote, which makes accountability all but impossible.
Just hope no "little surprises" like the 1986 machine gun ban, don't get tacked on at the last minute, and approved back in the House on one of those O Dark Thirty "acclimation" procedures.
This is why I am not a member of the NRA nor will I support them. I am a member of JPFO, GOA and FCSA.
This is also why we need to get the Parker case out of DC into the USSC so that we know where we stand and what action comes next... I’m sick of these corrupt leaches trying to tax me to death and take my rights away.
