The Growing Terrorism Challenges From Latin America

There has also been relatively little attention paid, on a policy and intelligence level, to the newer role of transnational criminal youth gangs based in Central America, such as Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) and Mara Calle18. Yet these groups, with aggregate membership now in the tens of thousands, pose a clear threat to U.S. critical infrastructure because of their strong organizations across the United States, their familiarity with weapons and explosives and rigid, brutally-enforced discipline. The U.S. military estimates that there are now at least 70,000 gang members in Central America and that "the level of sophistication and brutality of these gangs is without precedent."[25] In 2005, the FBI declared the MS-13 the most dangerous street gang in America, with as many as 10,000 members, operating in almost every state.

Some of the leaders of the most important gang branches are former members of the special forces of the U.S.-backed militaries, or members of elite units of Cuban-trained insurgent groups, meaning they possess the capacity to impart training in explosives, tactics and infiltration.[26] This high-level training and wealth of battlefield experience of these leaders, coupled with the easy availability of sophisticated weapons and the growing wealth and strengthening alliances of the gangs with traditional organized crime groups in the hemisphere, has exacerbated an already-bad situation.

We report...you decide. Think theres a connection between MS-13...alien smuggling...and Al-Qaeda terrorism...hmmmm?

I will be posting other articles from time to time...all with a common theme...lax border security, terrorism, MS-13, and the name Adnan El Shukrijumah.

We MUST secure the borders NOW, using the laws ON THE BOOKS NOW. If there are impediments existing to secure ALL our borders nOW, lets address JUST those concerns, and complete the task that Duncan Hunter and others set out to do just last October. This President has admitted, indirectly, (by virtue of his "SURPRISED" response to Duncans recent discussion with him regarding the fence effort)that he has no idea how many miles of LEGISLATED AND MANDATED fence have been deployed....WHICH IMHO, IS UNACCEPTABLE DERELECTION OF DUTY.

This IS a matter of life and death for Americans.

Lets take a sum of money equal to the amounts allocated by this President to go to Tsunami relief, and AIDS relief, and allocate that money NOW to build the fences, hire the border guards, build the processing and detention centers, build the COMPUTER INFRASTRUCTURE and other data processing centers needed to keep track of WHO IS IN THIS COUNTRY NOW, put the systems in place to allow employers to verify legality of their employees, and to allow our state and local officials to work seamlessly with the FEDS to round up and deport the criminals, illegals, and other visas violators in this country...NOW.

We have NO idea how many people are in this country now illegally, who they are, where they are, what they are up to..not just those who have slipped over the border, but those who overstayed their visas. The number being touted (12 mil) is ridiculously low...its probably double or even triple that number.

But whatever the number is TODAY...make no mistake...the moment this bill is signed....WITHOUT HAVING THE BORDERS SECURED FIRST,...this number is going to DOUBLE over the next several years....THIS will be your real starting point for the program.

And mixed in with this additional 10-20 million, will be some really bad guys...terrorists...MS-13 members,...and they may well be carrying realtively small, sophisticated plutonium implosion nuclear devices with tritium boosters...(suitcase nukes perhaps)...and setting off multiple devices in multiple American cities will result in the deaths of tens of millions of Americans, and tens of trillions in economic costs...if you can put a cost on life that is.

Please understand this important point...to have internal security...to be able to track and monitor terrorist cells activities WHO HAVE ALREADY ENTERED THIS COUNTRY...YOU MUST BE ABLE TO KEEP TERRORISTS IN THIS COUNTRY FROM FREELY ENTERING OR LEAVING, WITHOUT DETECTION, BY RESTRAINING / MONITORING THEM VIA SECURE BORDERS, PORTS, AIRPORTS, ETC...IN A CONTROLLED MANNER.

Recently, a man with TB who had an APB issued for him was able to waltz across the Canadian border...because the COMPUTER INFRACTRUCTURE and training is not there to properly monitor, track, and verify people entering the country.

The LAWS ARE ON THE BOOKS NOW...ENFORCE THE EXISTING LAWS NOW.

Lets spend the money NOW, and put the systems in place NOW to do this. WE DO NOT NEED A NEW SET OF LAWS OR A NEW GUEST WORKER PROGRAM TO DO THIS!!

Instead of spending 4.5 Billion (to do what should have ALREADY BEEN DONE) as a supplemental to a program which will end up costing us trillions down the road, WITH NO GUARANTEES OF SECURITY, why not spend 30 Billion NOW to do the whole job right..with the EXISTING laws we have now?

Lets just do it!

FYI

Please feel free to add any relevent links or comments you want regarding MS-13 terrorist activities on our southern borders.

We are going to apply OCTOL shaped charges to this monstrosity of a bill, and any hapless politicians who hang on to it.

If his ‘legacy’ and lack of attention to duty results in the death of innocent Americans, then he will be called to account for this...maybe not in this life...but certainly in the next one.
