I got through to Senator McCain's office using another number and told them that we needed to enforce the laws we already have. I said that I do not want him voting to give amnesty to illegal aliens and his Jr. Senator told me to "Call the Executive Branch. We (
meaning the Senate) do not enforce the law."
They aren't law enforcement but they darn sure write the laws, approve those that are appointed to hire and oversee those that are supposed to enforce the laws and that was one of the biggest cop outs I've heard in a long time.
I let the schmuck that answered the phone know that McCain would not stand an icecube's chance in hell of receiving my vote for him to become President if McCain supported Amnesty for criminals.
The flunky subordinate hung up on me. I don't think he was having a good day.
Now I am definitely NOT a McCain supporter.
