Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid exemplifies the leadership of the Democrat Party,
Stalin-lite:
All the traits, except the guts, of a Communist.

Every Republican Congress critter could scream to high heaven BUT if the MSM doesn't go along and play it up, [and they won't] only us Political junkies will know what Reid said.
He and Pelosi are scumbags and not close to being worthy of the positions they hold.

There is room for him to express reasonable disagreement about our path forward in Iraq."
Therein lies the problem, expecting a prominent member of the defeatocrat party to 'express reasonable disagreement'!

(This is my opinion, freely offered, and worth what you paid for it.)

Harry Reid as Clement L. Vallandigham, leader of the pro-slavery, anti-Civil War, Democrat Copperheads.
"During the American Civil War (1861-1865), the Copperheads strongly opposed the war, for which they blamed abolitionists, and they demanded immediate peace and resisted draft laws. They wanted Lincoln and the Republicans ousted from power, calling the president a tyrant who was destroying American values with his despotic and arbitrary actions.
Some Copperheads tried to persuade Union soldiers to desert. They talked of helping Confederate prisoners of war seize their camps and escape. They sometimes met with Confederate agents and took money. The Confederacy encouraged their activities whenever possible."
Haven't changed a bit, have they?

A decorated life time Marine, combat tested and run through the ringers to get to the position that he did. Dedicated to the defense of this country and these people at the cost of his life. A sleazy, vote grubbing, coward, earmaking, power mad traitor calls this honorable, dedicated man "incompetent". Harry Ried, that has never faced the enemies of this country on the field of combat, and never would. He would rather negotiate with people that will kill us. This good man will kill them before they kill us, that's what good soldiers do, and American soldiers do it best. This asshat just can't get his brain around the fact that THEY ARE GOING TO KILL US! If we don't kill them first. This POS to call a Patriot "incompetent" is the biggest joke I've ever seen in print.
The cleanest name I can come up with is douche bag.

This is not an immigration thread. Why would you bring up immgration when we are discussing what Reid called our military leaders?

Reid is typical of the frustrated Leftie who has been thwarted in the drive for control. Lefties are convinced that they are smarter than the masses that destiny has, in their view, chosen them to lead. The loss of power in 1994 coupled with the humiliation of W.J. Clintoon and the subsequent Dubya victory, especially its nature, in 2000 had emotionally drained the self-anointed ones . Now the realization that their great victory in 2006 has not become the weapon they had so ardently wished for in the quest for power is making them hotter than habaneros.
Actually, the intemperate remarks of the anally expulsive Reid do great harm to his cause. I am always happy to hear Harry make another harebrained comment.

I won’t believe that the RNC is really mad until they start throwing their purses at Harry.
To: Sub-Driver
When did the present and former military brass become sacred and immune from criticism? If that is the new GOP (and evidently FR) standard, it’s dumb. And it’s also a pathetic double standard as many former military people have been criticized, often harshly, on this site. Colin Powell and Wesley Clark come immediately to mind.

You can’t tell the difference between derision and criticism? I can tell where you stand and it isn’t with us here!
To: princess leah
Yes, I know the difference. If, for example, I say the Administrations handled of the Dubai Ports and Harriet Miers episodes incompetently, it is a criticism. If I say it with a sneering laugh rather than the anger and regret I actually felt, it is derision.
You on the other hand evidently cannot make the distinction. Saying that Pace is incompetent does not "attack our military." Nor is it "unacceptable." Nor is it "reprehensible" to critice Petraeus just because "the man [is] actually leading our troops on the ground."
And because I'm sure this subtlety will fly right past you, my criticism of Duncan doesn't mean I think Reid's criticism of Pace is right.

Your point is well taken. As for my perception, Duncan is merely highlighting a patently stupid move by Reid who may be damaged by a careless remark. If this is the case, I salute Duncan.
